I'm 22!

I bought one last year, the Wii U. I don't plan on buying the next PlayStation or Xbox though this year.

Yes, gen has nothing to do with power, it's about time.

For example, Sony could have made the visuals worse on the PS4 than on the PS3 and it'd still be next-gen.

I'm not worried about Nintendo at all. The games are coming and I'm sure the OS/Miiverse will be expanded in the future.

Personally, I'm more excited about the Wii U over the PS4, still. Watch Dogs interface was just made for the gamepad, absolutely perfect for it. The only game that interested me coming to PS4, was The Witness (apparently a timed-exclusive). The social features are cool, very cool, but it's not something I'll be using - so I don't have much interest in that. Miiverse appeals to me much more.

So little optimism in the gaming world these days, everything is going to fail... apparently.

Like all redesigns, I'll probably get used to it over time. I'm so used to the old design though, so it alienates me a bit at the moment.

Wow, I can't believe how different it originally looked. :O

I was around at that time, but I couldn't even remember it looked liked that.

Still prefer black, for me.
