I try to avoid Subway whenever possible. If I am dragged there, I will just have a horrible overpriced chicken salad that tastes worse, is smaller, and costs three dollars more than what McDonalds offers.

" People who are bothered by anything other than what the song sounds like.   For instance, "God damn this song is shit just listen to the lyrics" It's like, why do you even care? If you're looking for good lyrics why aren't you reading poetry or some such thing? "

I agree with this somewhat. Lyrics are nothing more than one instrument in the band. Their value to me is less than bass, drums, guitar, or whatever else a band decides to incorporate. I don't want to make a blanket statement that all vocals are meaningless, yet they offer little value to me.  Unless they are bad vocals, that is a major turn off.
Trends I would like to see die in music:
  • Bands that think that distortion = heavy. I am sick of hearing something awful like "train," or "311," play on TV and pretend to be hardcore.
  • Bands that use chugging styles of metal, especially an open "e," chugging. This is especially bad when the singer shouts "breakdown," before the guitarist take their hand off the fretboard and just do open "e," down-strokes to 4/4 timing.
  • Vocalists that sing through their nose, not from their diaphragm.

As someone who lived in the 80's I was happy when they were over. Since I have the ego of someone from the 80's I'm making a statement of how I disapprove and am now leaving. Later.

@crusader8463: Maybe it is just implemented poorly in this game (i haven't played it so I am just going off of what you mention). I have to ask though, why does a game have to give you something in return?  Like what a different poster mentioned earlier, there is no real benefit to having sex with a hooker other than sexual release and if the developer made the choice to that they can't show you the sex, then what is there?  A lame quip as your character leaves the house? Just use your imagination and think your character is silent because he is feeling remorseful.

I am also thinking that adding an animation is one thing, yet the game has to be released in various areas of the world, like the USA for example. There are a lot of anal puritans in the US that actually believe that sex in media is a bad thing (sorry to all the non-anal puritan asshole americans out there, im not trying to rag on your country) and unfortunately there is a moral difference between showing a romantic relationship with a consenting partner that you spend the entire game with, as opposed to paying a hooker for cash (an illegal activity in the US). Not only would animating that scene take man hours (even 5 man hours effects the bottom line), but it is for something that has the potential of creating major controversy.  I'm thinking that bioware is just trying to avoid a bit of controversy while still trying to give the player choice and a sense of immersion from creating a believable world.  Plus Bioware got in shit the last time they allowed you to have sex with a hooker (Mass Effect).

Edit: Hell, I was thinking again and it just probably came down to man hours. Like i mentioned before, even 5 man hours effects the bottom line. From what i heard this game feels rushed and I am sure that 5 man hours (hell it would probably take even more than that to implement) was just not available to the developers.

I didn't like GTA 4 because it felt like a major step back for the franchise. It had a smaller world than San Andreas, annoying story / characters, too much busy work (c'mon that cell was going off every ten minutes), less to do in comparison to San Andreas, they screwed up the driving physics, and removed the targeting system that worked so well before.
It wasn't a bad game, it just felt like the developer sacrificed fun whenever they had to make a choice between fun and realism. (I will always prefer fun to realism in my games)
I do enjoy the fact that this game allowed me to fuck around online with friends, although I think other games have done it better.

Well why not? They aren't allowed to show sex, yet it is an easy way to have endless fun when you are goofing off with buddies. I couldn't tell you the amount of times my buddies and I giggled in GTA after going on a massive killing spree, only to pick up a hooker when I was near dead, fuck her, then beat her to death with my fists.
I haven't played Dragon Age 2 yet, but I know that there were plenty of useless buildings in the original. For example, why make a building that you can't enter, or pier that leads to a lake you can't jump into. I believe It is meant to create a more believable world for you to experience. Furthermore, it probably isn't that hard to implement a whore house if you don't need to animate the deed, giving you at least a little bit of a more living, breathing world to explore.
Ultimately I think that if you don't like it don't use it. If you want to experience a whore-house, then it is there.

most patties: 6 - At A&W I tried the Animal Burger
Most Beef: 5 pounds uncooked. When I was in Ontario one summer there was a restaurant near St. Catherines that served what they called the Punski Burger. 5 pounds of beef, one pound of cheeze (fried into a crispy disk). I had to use a knife and fork for this burger.

" it means nothing. strikeforce is staying its own independant thing. seperate from ufc. do a little more reading. "
there is no merger going on. Plus, any contracts already in place are sticking around. I'm sure EA has a multi-year contract with strikeforce in place.  I`m sure there is going to be a merger when all the contracts are up though. I know that Dana mentioned that he wants to expand to do more non-ppv shows and I am sure that strikeforce as a name will kick around for that reason. I would love to see overeem in the UFC though.
