@andrewf87462: They're literally playing Jackbox within the first 15 minutes of the video... So yeah, they're still playing games on this website...... Feels good being outraged though, right?
Just want to say that I'd love to see some Final Fantasy XIV or other MMORPG playing from you guys. I always love multiplayer stuff the most. I know it's harder to set up and all, but man, I love it :)
I hope this thing improves over time. I love game creation tools in game-form and I hope it'll continue to be a thing into the future. That said, we need Dreams on everything, cause god damn.. That should be the blueprint for how to make user generated content type games. It is close to infinitely better than all the other gameified game-creation tools out there. The flexibility and workflow, once you get used to it, is second to none. Steep initial hurdle just to get going, but once you do, dang doodle is it good. Add VR on top of that and you're just enveloped in the whole digital realm, able to manipulate it as you choose.
Giving people the ability to make games is awesome regardless of the finished product. I'll applaud Nintendo for giving this repeated tries over the years. Tons of people have found the joy of game creation because Nintendo likes to experiment. Just wish they liked to experiment with that new internet thing.
Hey Jeff, glad to hear you're still plucking away at VR here and there. About using it in your driveway: The Oculus Quest doesn't do well outside at night. However, there's an update coming where you can make the Guardian 15x15 meters or whatever the hell it was, like huuuge. If you light up your driveway you should be able to do some cool shit at night in a really big space. Almost unlimited ways to fuck yourself up. Also, if people see you VRing, let them laugh and chuckle. All good.
I have some hopes that the reason Oculus has decided to increase the size of the guardian is because they're getting ready for some gymnasium-size shared-space multiplayer stuff... That would be super awesome. Getting together with people and not having to actually see them, perfect level of social interaction.
Jan, get yourself a Quest 2. You'll love it. If you want to do work, get one of those elite straps, the straps that come with it as stock are not comfy. Squeeze your face real bad.
If I might make a request: Hire someone who also loves VR. I would love some more VR banter :) Things happen and it's quite exciting. PSVR2 is coming along and stuff.
I know Mike Mika is busy and all, but I would love it if you could squeeze him into some content sometime. Maybe Jeff and Mike playing the most obscure old shit they can come up with or something like that. Maybe an arcade road trip or something once the world returns to normal. Maybe to California Extreme?
Anyways, the path for the site sounds awesome to me.
