I can't quite remember which video it was that originally got me into them but I've been a fan for a while now. The WWE All-Stars episode is one I go back to a lot. The Macho Man impression is amazing! I agree there's a bit of a raw original GB vibe to these guys while still remaining completely original.
For me it's the game Soleil (Crusader Of Centy to the rest of the world) on the Sega Megadrive. I very rarely play traditional RPG's like this even now, let alone when I was a kid, but I was hooked on this. It's important to me because it was one of the first games that made me care about story and character emotions. There was also a bunch of reading which was good for me as a kid. I don't think I ever see it mentioned, though it was included on the Sega Megadrive Collection for 360 and PS3.
Ok, so far I've got: Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Dishonoured, Anna, Torchlight II, Borderlands 2 and Sleeping Dogs (that was only 22% or so, but still, it's relatively cheap as is)... Just a nice FarCry 3 price drop needed to round it off! Because I've been so frugal with games in general this year, this is the first time a Steam sale will actually benefit me. There's a whole lot of hours in those games...
Looking out for deals on FarCry 3, Dishonoured and Borderlands 2. Seeing as I skipped some big games this year I actually have some stuff to appreciate in the sale. :D Wouldn't mind getting Deus Ex: Human Revolution too.
So far I only listen to the Bombcast and Idle Thumbs. Would be up for finding more though. I've dabbled with the IGN podcasts but have gone in and out of liking them.
How dare he want what's best for you. I don't understand where the argument is here. Your ear sounds like quite a bit of a problem and he's suggested you get it fixed. That'd be good, right? Why wouldn't you want to do that?
