@wrighteous86: just wanted to chime in. Not sure how Jeff is approaching this, but we have access to all the resumes that are filed, even if HR doesn't pass them up the chain. That said (and I've done this with engineering hires), looking at 1000+ resumes means you really need to stand out because after awhile the resumes look very similar (@jslack sent me a video as his cover letter!). I'm sure I've missed a couple of diamonds which is why for the interns I had direct emails to me and have replied to almost all of them.
The HR partner that is working with the games groups is pretty damn good tho (a bit swamped at the minute) and I've received great candidates that normally you would expect to be filtered out by a bot looking for keywords.
All I can say is a bit of patience and hopefully you'll get your chance!
