@CaptainCody: Ok, I get that.

But as somebody who very seriously loves game design, there is a metric fuckton of useful stuff in here.

@CaptainCody: What definition of Indie Development are you using when you say that you hate it? This is a legitimate question.

@barinelg: Well, here is the first thing that you should know: the reply button actually does something in these forums.

Oh man, I don't even know how to approach that big list of game design. I mean, I have to read a ton of it. It's just crazy intimidating. I have no idea where to begin.

I listened to every Hotspot up until a year and change after Jeff got fired. At some point I stopped listening to podcasts and kind of stopped following games (not playing them of course). A friend introduced me to GB and I kind of ignored it for a while. I'm not even sure what started me coming here, but one day I just said "fuck it" and copied my entire game collection over from GS to GB (which took about 3 days going on and off). And that, as they say, was history.

@laserbolts: These images are what I usually refer people to. They aren't 100% accurate to my experience (in theory I shouldn't be able to tell the Anomalous Trichromatic images from the normal one), but They seem to be a good approximation. To my knowledge me and most of the GB staff all suffer from Dichromacy, but I obviously can't say for sure.

@Alex_Murphy: Those seem awfully expensive. I know its a specialized industry, but its odd that the base price (for an unaltered controller) is so high.

@myketuna:

I think its about 10 minutes in, they start talking about colourbindness. The guy showing the game says that he isn't convinced that people are actually colourblind. I mean, I would appreciate that as a joke. It's just not entirely clear that he is kidding.

That's unfortunate. At least you'll probably heal.

Unless I'm very lucky and all this monkey research pans out, I'm never going to be able to actually play a popcap game because I'm hella colourblind.

That might be a good thing though.

I thought colourblindness was a choice? ; )

I continue to fucking hate that guy. He didn't sound like he was joking. Moron.
