Does this make anyone else here want another good Ninja Gaiden game?

Cool. I'm kind of excited to finally see Clementine's story ending after all this time. I played through Season One and Two back-to-back on Steam in late 2014, so after its original releases. I wasn't sure I'd be into it but loved it when I finally got to it. I also played A New Frontier after that was all out too. I ended up enjoying that too, though not quite as much as the first two seasons. Now, I think I might just jump in at the beginning of this final season.

Boy, not a lot of them finished the game. And wow, I knew Nolan North played one of the brothers but didn't know Troy Baker did the other.

That Brad image shouldn't be funny, but it is.

I'm interested to know what their thoughts are on God of War once they finish it.

@radiocage: I'll stop conversing about Borderlands 2 here (go to my thread posted above if you want to give your thoughts if you haven't already!) I'll leave it here saying I agree. I'm just now going through the Borderlands games and I finished the first the other day. I didn't have to do anything today so aside from showering, eating, bathroom breaks and playing with my dog, so I've put 11 hours into Borderlands 2 because it is consistently fun and really addictive.

The thing I don't want when I hear about what it can take from other games like Destiny, or The Division (I love The Division mind you) is that I don't feel Borderlands is quite the same game as those: it's not (as you've mentioned) an MMO or at least as focused on online play as those games. The Division and Destiny feel like it has a wide swath of content that can only be enjoyed if you have a bunch of friends with you, while in Borderlands all the content seems totally valid to play just on your own.

I think Borderlands 2 takes a lot of aspects that I could nitpick (not being able to pick up items by walking over them; having a compass instead of a minimap and a few other things) and fixes them and then some. Now, the only thing I can think of to improve upon it is what I mentioned in the thread above: far more maneuverability options. I would also like to see even more focus put on characters, story, and setting.

The only thing I'm disappointed in with two is that it doesn't have gore like the first, so you can't shoot body parts off which felt brutally satisfying, but it's not really a huge detriment to the experience; it's still a whole lot of fun to shoot things. Lastly, it would be really nice if Borderlands 3 was announced at E3. I call that good timing for me, ha ha.

@radiocage: I wouldn't mind seeing multiple planets. They already established that there's space-faring involved in the Borderlands universe, and the Pre-Sequel is on Pandora's moon. Better competitive multiplayer? Sure, I guess. I don't really care for that myself, but sure. The writing is an (albeit a personal) issue with the game, and I don't think Destiny can really teach Borderlands anything in that regard, heck or the planet-hopping which is partially why Destiny was super disappointing.

The idea that you can go to a bunch of different worlds is great, but Destiny didn't do it very well and really lacked in the number of places you actually go or interesting things you can see. If Borderlands can actually do good on bringing on multiple planets and make them interesting then cool, but if not I don't mind if they keep it on one planet for the majority of it. Maybe going to one or two different places that are more central to the main missions would be cool.

Although I can understand the meme-heavy stuff can be grating (I personally feel indifferent about it) I think the overall writing is still pretty good. There are some funny moments I find. Oh, and as for Destiny, I'm speaking as someone that didn't play the sequel nor any of the first games DLC, so there could be a lot of great content that's worth taking aspects from, but in my experience, again, Borderlands is an overall better game that can't take much from Destiny.

I think Borderlands just needs improvements here and there but taking inspiration from other shooter RPG games not necessarily.

@lubermans: Hmm. As far as I'm concerned, with the experiences I've played, Borderlands is a much better game than Destiny, so I wonder what aspects Destiny could really bring to the table to make Borderlands better, at least to me. That said, I didn't play Destiny 2.

Hmm, I didn't know there was a question about Borderlands on the Bombcast. Which one was that and what was discussed exactly?

Far Cry 5: As Expected. I might get this if it's super cheap, but everything I've seen of it with preview coverage looked like something I didn't really want to play. If it had pulled off some kind of meaningful message with the story or characters and really made the setting interesting I'd probably be into it, but it sounds like it falls flat.

It's getting tiresome now for me that they keep putting out the same thing over and over with very little ambition to innovate or bring something interesting to the table with the aspects they craft. It's just about taking what the previous games did and trying to fine tune it all. I am at least happy I can save some money.
