I'll probably do what I did with the other Halo games get the single player achievements and forget the multiplayer ones, Im not paying for gold just so i can get a higher gamer score
People do that? I mean, they ONLY play the single player of Halo? I mean, the single player campaigns are usually pretty well-done in a Halo game, but...I don't know, I've just never seen them as the reason people play a Halo game.
Why do you think the Halo lore is the most talked about when talking about the Halo games compared to the multiplayer. You're really seeing things the wrong way.
It seems more like a problem with Bethesda's technology and choices than Sony or the PS3. I would suspect that if they tried to do a Mac version it would be saddled with the same issues. Bethesda has had a long history of ambitious and unstable if not broken engines where trying to add in the a complexity like cross platform engine did not help at all.
In other words, Bethesda programmers are seriously incompetent big time compared to the majority of other programmers, even indie ones who are able to program and port to the PS3 or those who make crappy multiplatform games.

This is what I mostly do with all of my games: only play singleplayer.
Did they patch in the option to install the entire game at once? Between that and the game's hours and hours of cut-scenes I needed to skip through, I gave up pretty quickly on additional play-throughs. It's a shame, because the gameplay is so excellent.
Might wanna learn what's what: he's stepping down from PlayStation (Sony Computer Entertainment) and focuses on his biggest role... President and CEO of SONY Corporation.
