My favorite Capcom games
A simple list of my favorite Capcom games.
A simple list of my favorite Capcom games.
Though I was a fan of the Street Fighter series since SFII, I didn't fall in love with the game until Alpha 2. In my opinion the music in Alpha 2 is the best in Street Fighter history and Gold edition adding Cammy made me squeel like a freak in heat.
The console version was packed with characters and modes(World Tour anyone?) giving you hours and hours of gameplay. The three game play modes for each character and new techniques also added a little depth to this game. Super Bison was probably the worse thing to happen to a lot of us casual players.
Combining the arcade versions casts together for this game and giving them proper endings was a great idea. Though some of the animations and frames are missing, this game is full of surprises.
When I first played this, I probably soiled myself often.
No use in restating "I wanna take you for a ride." It should have been the second title of the game.
The first taste of cross over madness. It was so bitter and sweet. Now the rest of us have diabetes and require more cross overs.
Even at the time Rival Schools had horrible graphics but everything else made up for it. This was the first real Street Fighter in 3D only, it was missing the Street Fighters.
The moves were insane and creative, the story had text and dialogue, 2 different endings per character and the largest amount of extra ever. Several unlockable modes, characters, alternate costumes, loading screens, art.
The one thing I wont ever forget in this ridiculous game is the special mode were Kyoko will rub your back via the Dual Shock controllers vibrations. Creepy and delightful.
It was like Rival Schools only with better graphics.
I think I'm going to get a lot of slack for placing this game anywhere past the top 10. I admit when I played and fell in love with it I was really young but, the reason I loved it was because of the training mode that made you practice character moves and combos. This same mode was also seen and pre-dates the one in SFIV.
Probably one of the more forgettable Mega Man games. I guess I'm a sucker for 3D incarnations, I did add SFEX A to the list. Meh.
Capcom, you seriously had to get rid of Norimaro? I know he was stupid but hes dangerous if you know how to play him right and I'm sure there is endless satisfaction in beating him up.
I didn't mind the first Dead Rising. The picture taking wasn't my favorite thing so once they got rid of that, I was all on board!
The Darkstalkers series has always been the forgotten step child of Street Fighter, even after Street Fighter lifted things from it. Though Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors wasn't the best game in the series it still holds a nice bang in my heart.
The king of horror games. It was even so hardcore they remade.
One of the underdogs in the Darkstalker series, Night Warriors added a small buff to the original. Sadly its probably more forgettable.
This franchise started out with such a small cast but later on grew to have one of the biggest. The introduction of Dan will probably be a lot of peoples favorite thing about this game.
I know its not one game but the fact that Alpha 1-3 plus different additions with near arcade perfect animations and then Pocket Fighters thrown in, make me too friggin happy!
One of the first games I played on PS2. It was a lot of fun running around slashes demons.
I regreat not playing the squeals but from what I heard DMC2 was a pass anyway.
First SF game on PS3. You have to admit you played it but, You also have to admit it deserved beyond last.
