Fallout 2 was already super in-jokey considering it was only the second one in the series. Anyone else have the problem where you can tell there is a reference but it's been so long since you played the first two you have to check the wiki figure out what they are calling back to?

It's my understanding that the only way to get mods is to buy them from certain merchants, one being the merchant in Goodspring, another being the one in Novac. There are definitely other merchants that sell them, but I haven't found them yet. I haven't seen a weapon mod drop, and I believe it's impossible to craft weapon mods.

I watched a lot of Husky and HD, but when I started actually playing more on the ladder I got more in to Day[9]. Not as exciting, but I am learning a lot more and I think he is just a fun guy. Plus his dailies are the best. I was watching the live stream during the infamous Newbie Tuesday #1, now that was hilarious.

@tunaburn: True, but sometimes it's nice to have something to play against to develop your basic skills for a while before jumping in to the meatgrinder that is battle.net.

I agree with 99X.

I've been playing practice matches (by the way, do people in practices matches all rage quit or is GG just not a well understood concept?) and then doing some skirmish against the AI. Not the same at all. The habits you pick up, the speed of the game, the way the bases have built-in walls... not good. It's a recipe for creating players who will get rolled over by even the noobiest rush builds. Found that out after playing too many practices matches and then jumping in to a 2v2 AI Easy to get some of those sweet cheevos. Felt like such a noob when the EASY AI got to my base before I got to his... even a win in that situation is humiliating.

In regards to #5, most modern games do allow it. ALT + Enter, move to new window, ALT + Enter again to maximize. Other than that... Dunno.
