I can't grow a beard to save my life. I'm in my late 20's and I look 18. I used to get carded trying to buy lottery tickets and cigarettes, and it would irritate me.

The Master - 3/5

I really wanted to like this movie, but it went nowhere. The performances were fantastic, but the story was simply a dull bore.

Both.

Admittedly I'm more excited for Dishonored. And I wasn't much of a fan of RTS games until I watched videos for X-COM. It got me interested, and I'll definitely be purchasing it soon. But stealth games are where my bread is buttered.

But.. XCOM isn't an RTS.

Whatever. It's a strategy game. It's kind of a semantic argument. I've definitely heard it being called an RTS game, although I'm fully aware it's really more of a turn-based game. But they're part of the same mold to me, so I tend to just call them all RTS games. Whether you agree with that or not, it doesn't really have much to do with my original comment.

I think he presented the game fine, but who gives a shit?

Well, considering the number of complaints from commenters in the Quick Looks about how Patrick pronounced the word "chasm", I would say people give waaaaay too much of a shit around here. People need to chill.

Let the GB defense force commence.

Many people are reasonably disagreeing with you, and this is your counter-argument.

I honestly have never noticed what you're talking about. They do talk while doing nothing sometimes, but I don't think they frequently do that for long enough amounts of time to be disconcerting - in fact, I don't see why it would be annoying in the first place. After all they're still talking about the game.

I find it irritating that as soon as somebody defends a member of the crew (reasonably, I might add) there's always talk of a GB 'Defense Force'. I just find it extremely childish to think that everybody has to agree with that person, and if we don't, we're just doing it because we think the crew can do no wrong. Uh, no. we disagree because I actually think what you're saying is incorrect. Everybody's entitled to their opinion, but I have to ask, why create a thread if you're not going to actually have a reasonable discussion with people? If you're just going to say that everybody that disagrees with you is a blind GB fanboy, you've pretty much already lost the argument.

So you want a quick look where he doesn't tell you about the game?

No? I want a Quick Look where he tells me about the game, and actually plays it while explaining what he's doing?

He did that. The video is 45 minutes long. My advice would be to actually watch the rest of it. Not trying to be a dick. I seriously just think you turned it off way too early. He totally plays the game and talks about it at the same time.

I have never seen a Quick Look where this isn't the case.

Patrick, as well as the rest of the crew, are very informative when it comes to these Quick Looks. And Patrick did appear to move around quite a bit from place to place during the Dishonored one, so...I dunno...I guess I just don't give a shit either way.

Looking pretty damn good so far.

Giant Bomb: 4/5

Destructoid: 9/10

IGN: 9.2/10

Gamespot: 9/10

Game Trailers: 8.7/10

Games Radar: 4.5/5

1UP: A+

Eurogamer: 8/10

Escapist: 5/5

PC Gamer: 92/100

Edge: 9/10

Game Informer: 8.75/10

They're not giving very high marks for the story, and that will definitely suck for some people. But I'm admittedly not much of a story person when it comes to videogames, so I'm pretty cool with it. Definitely glad I took advantage of that Green Man Gaming discount.
