I heard that it follows Dr. Ned's philosophy of not having New-U stations. To be honest, that completely unsells me on this DLC. I was on the fence, but no teleportation means no purchase.
- Shadowrun was good - Bioshock 2 is an improvement over the original in every way - Bayonetta isn't sexualized enough, especially approaching the end of the game
If I buy this game, it won't be for the gameplay or story. It'll be for the cultural experience. They shouldn't be cutting out content that (I feel) is one of their biggest selling points.
What do we know about the name? So far, both the logo and the name itself are leaving a lot to be desired. It sounds like it still hasn't been officially named, and the current title is simply a placeholder.
" looks pretty fun, but im afraid that claw will just be some kind of gimmick "
A gimmick, with regards to video game criticism, is a bullet-point feature to sell a game. In practice, gimmicks aren't fully realized or do not impact the overall experience. At worst, a gimmick is detrimental to the experience, despite the concept being used to market the product.
Here's what we pretty much know about the claw: - It's integral to the gameplay, having its own button on the controller - It's fun
If you listen to the latest Bombcast (I believe is where this is covered), Ryan has an overwhelming positive preview of the game. It noted that the claw is used for stunts, character movement (in combination with the parashoot), vehicle transitions, and a direct-combat mechanic.
Different voices, but allow me to separate their radio personalities for ya'.
Ryan: podcast host, mediator to topics, jokingly upset if things go astray, typically has a lot of "me too" responses to points made by other Bombcasters, perhaps the most representative of a general, non-hardcore audience. Less referential than Jeff, but more descriptive.
Jeff: knows a lot about games, either makes a profoundly historic reference or is simply profound, very obscure, has more a tendency to derail conversation into film/television territory, loves fighting games, loves campy. I would label Jeff as the most critically accurate and respectable of the Bombcasters. I, personally, feel that Jeff is more energetic and comical.
Or at least, that's my deduction. If you were to give me a manuscript of each episode and ask me to identify the speaker, I could probably do it. Been following them since prior to Giantbomb.
