Hey giantbomb community, I have been driving myself crazy trying to remember a PS2 fighter that I vaguely remember. One of the key things that stands out of my mind is the graphic design, it was mostly bright Persona 4 yellow with diamond shapes for everything, fighter portraits, timer, and etc. It was a 2D sprite based game, with full 3D backgrounds. I want to say it was a Street Fighter or Capcom produced. It was definitely on the PS2 . So if you can figure this out, you will get one special virtual high five coming your way.
I am pretty much done with it. The new multiplayer aesthetics are nice but going back to MW2. Modern Warfare 2 is just a superior product. The shooting, visuals, UI, and design is just more polished. Black Ops was clearly developed before they saw MW2, it is only a sequel to the first one without the true innovations of mw2. Plus the net code is kinda dog shit at the moment.
I hate the sprite affect that they use. Just looks like a black ball and two sprites constantly behind it. Kingdom Hearts doesn't use this technique and he looks like Mickey Mouse not a freak of nature.
This game is surprisingly awesome, I am nearing the end and will post a review after that but it is a really solid game adventure game with inspirations from Ico, Metroid, and Zelda.
Having the Treasury = Death count is so on the noes and silly. Then ending is a clumsy free fall stride to make a structured experience that misses the best qualities of the Fable series. Plus its a big F you to any players that sought out the best ending. Its completely obvious pick the good options and buy out all the property and acquire money while on side quests. Having no side saves and pushing players out the door before exploring all the game offers has to be the "bad red fire" option that Peter must have chosen to have the overall " sparkley goodness" of the future.
I was really digging this game until I had the put the controller down at the turn and say.... really? Fuck you Fable and I can careless about future content.
Yeah in Novac if you pursue one of the quests you can get a house and a party member if executed correctly. I also believe you can have a place to stay in the Lucky 38 Hotel in New Vegas but depending on how you get along with Mr.House could influence your stay there.
