Duders! Was looking for a co-op game to play the other day, and found that this is coming out on the PC here soon.

Resident Evel 6 Steam

If your into the PC version of this game as well you should pre-order this... You know, so we can all get a copy of RE5 for free and stuff.

Anyone play this since launch? Have some of the issues (like the camera) been cleaned up? I enjoyed 5's Co-Op (Sheva!), anyone play enough of it in 6 to have a say?

I agree that the game is, for the most part, highly overrated. In episode 3 you see the full extent of the meandering path you're forced to take, with an opening section that means nothing in the narrative, and an end that is, quite frankly, insane given the events of episode 2 - the game simply doesn't follow a path of logic and survival...for christ's sake, in chapter 2 we literally see what a nice family does to people in this new world, and in chapter 3, everyone is ok with a hobo who gives people candy...jesus. Technical issues are apparent, there are plenty of issues, and while it made my GOTY list, that's only because I hadn't played that many games last year.

A point I think you should note, about this thread in general and this site at large: if you 'insult' a game that a lot of people love, they will come hard, and they'll come fast, looking for blood. I made that mistake several times, and all you're going to get is circular logic and bullshit about objectivity and subjectivity, and it's going to be frustrating because all of a sudden, what you say is suddenly invalid because of reasons. A majority may be standing against you, but six pages in I've only seen the same limp-wristed defence of the game coming from everyone, with nobody actually engaging with anything you've brought up. Give it six months and more people will emerge to point out flaws in the game...fuck's sake, it took the best part of a year and a half to bash the most recent Final Fantasy games, and Deus Ex: HR...I know you want to beat back people who're being difficult, but unfortunatley, this is, at least in my experience, this site. Just look at the Dead Island Riptide thread from yesterday...that's just depressing.

If you aren't needing to do anything g heavy duty on the portable device, I would suggest a tablet. As far as not having a disk drive, there are plenty of ways to stream movies off of your desktop or just DL them onto the tablet if you want.

I have a pretty powerful desktop, and a laptop that is pushing 3 years old. Recently I have been away from home often and found myself missing having a device that did very basic Internet well, so I traded in my iPod and DS:lite for a 32gb Nexus 7. Loving it so far. It does all of my light Internet in really well, and if I need to watch something Netflix and hulu do the trick for me. And Andriod has VLC, in beta, I can drop most video files on here and they work fine.

For the keyboard, I just replaced the stock keyboard with SwiftKey and that works great. Plus if you really need real keyboard you can get a bluetooth one and I have seem ones that are integrated into cases.

For me, getting g a $250 tablet for light Internet usage was better the same buying a $800+ laptop. Plus it doubles as a book/mag reader, so that's cool.

No PC version? :(

I guess not - I went in yesterday and pre-ordered and there wasn't one in GS's system. I haven't seen anything online about there being a PC copy, which sucks since that's the copy I'd prefer.

I just ended up ordering a 360 copy, I am pretty sure that I still have it hooked up to the TV...

Also, it's 25 bucks to pre-order a collectors edition of something in case it's been awhile since anyone here has done that. I was a little taken back, thought it was only $5.

When I had capped Internet (which is dumb and shouldn't be a thing anymore) I was able to do all thevDL/UPL I wanted between 12am and 8am. You should see if that's a thing for you.

If not, install the game on a laptop and patch it at a Starbucks. Then copy the game folder back to your main computer.

So.... What is your video card/computer and what kind of TV do you have? That will help us help you.

The games should work no matter what resolution your trying to run them in, they will just look really bad if your not running the native TV resolution - not unlike an LCD monitor.

I myself have stopped using the HDMI, since on my Insignia the VGA looks so much clearer and better. But if I don't use the 1920x1080 it doesn't really like it.

@Philip

Thanks for the suggestions, I think my main problem was salvaging every item, and not selling. I thought I could increase my crafting to craft good equipment, but it has not paid off at all.

I have so far found 1 rare, I think I will try to sell on TP, its not for my class :(

Yeah, I thought I would be doing crafting as well. Turns out I still don't like to work in my MMOs.

If your bank is loaded with salvage materials you can make a quick buck selling them on the trading post. More than just selling to NPCs. So far it's been the best way to make a couple bucks after a day of exploring.

Oh also, I came back to the post to add this, make sure the new Armor you buy has tuffness on it. You'll notice yourself surviving a lot longer the more tuffness you have. Happy gaming duder!
