24 is an awesome chunk man, I feel pretty good about the 12 I've got done myself. Most I've ever done in 2 months is 17 and they were a lot less beefy games than what you knocked out.

Don't beat yourself up if you need to slow down at times to relax some, you've got a great headstart and you don't want to burnout.

I think that character animation issue you described is definitely your PC man, That didn't happen at all on mine. If anything how well those synced up with the audio, was one of the more impressive aspects of the game

I personally don't share the sentiment that Nintendo is ripping off their customers with their accessory pricing, just they are moving to HP Printer business model (give away the printer at cost basically and charge very high margins on toner). Doesn't make it any easier to swallow those 70 buck controllers, but I don't think it's unfair.

I also don't share your view of the lineup. However I should note, I do think it only looks good if you like certain genres. It's got some really massive holes in there (basically no shooters or racing games or fighting games etc). For me personally this lineup much stronger than what I remembered out of the N64, but this one has RPGs which is my bread & butter and the N64 didn't. So I get why the lineup can look weak and strong to varying different folks.

I certainly agree that Nintendo could make our lives easier with a better Virtual Console offering that's more fair to longtime fans. It'd be nice if they at least made that part of it easier.

Now that being said, since you already have a XB1 and PS4 I don't see why you need a Switch. But like you said this is probably more of a 3DS replacement in your gaming life if you want one.

So I get why you're torn and I think that's fair. Bottom line is the Switch is a luxury item yet again, a second console for most people not a primary since it doesn't have the marquee 3rd party multiplats. Which is basically where Nintendo has been last two cycles.

Double Dragon Neon is a game that continues to look better with age.

DDIV certainly keeps in the tradition with the bad DD sequels, of which there are many.

Nice List Moth! I like that you do it at this time of year too, I personally feel this is when GoTy lists should be made so that people have a chance to evaluate December releases along with their contemporaries. But the media cycle is what it is and GotY makes convenient content to air over Holiday break for professionals.

Gotta say not surprised to see Darkest Dungeon as your number 1. I feel pretty differently about it than you do as you might recall, but I also totally get why you enjoyed it so much. Boy are the high points in that game incredible.

Turing Test has been on my list to try for a while now, glad to hear you think it's good! What you describe of it, sounds 100% up my alley. That seemed like a candidate for most criminally overlooked game of 2016. With the exception of....

Valley. Which I never even knew existed until your list. And boy o boy am I glad you wrote this because that does look neat.

welcome back to team PC @humanity! Hope you enjoy it man.

That's a pretty slick setup, I got a Noctua cooler like you did and it's been super quiet for nearly 4 years now. (also did the dot method fwiw . The smear method/lines etc looked easier to screw up to me for unverified minimal gain). I think you'll be glad you've got one.

Kinda funny you went back to PC gaming while I've been mulling getting a console. My GTX 760 is definitely starting to struggle with new stuff (Hitman ran but was a little stuttery, I think that game is just poorly optimized in general. ). But mainly not having access to those PS4 exclusives (especially Horizon: Zero Dawn which looks like my exact kind of jam) is hurtin' me. Grass is always greener I guess.

Don't know if you plan to have a controller hooked up to this bad boy, But I've really enjoyed having a steam link hooked up to mine for that couch style gaming experience. There's a couple huge games it seems to downscale picture quality a little bit, but for the most part it works surprisingly well. I've even found a way to get Origin games to run through it.

Btw one thing to watch out for is Nvidia driver updates of late. For whatever reason their driver support has been pretty suspect this past year, on top having to signup personal details for GeForce Experience etc. Where I used to download their new drivers as soon as they are out, now I wait to hear the word on the street that the driver batch is ok first.

p.s seeing that coffee so close to you components made me nervous just seeing it. haha

Holy cow, that may be the greatest single month output I've ever seen from a gamer.

Well done man! You've got some bangers in there!

Good luck on your quest to a 100, with this headstart you should be in great shape.

The closest I've ever gotten myself was 63. I'm shooting for 52 this year myself.

@bobafettjm: Thanks bobafettjm!

The Division is a heavily flawed game imo, but it's got some really great Diablo/Borderlands type loot hooks in it coupled with a very well realized Open World New York littered with collectibles that can just melt the the hours away.

I hope you enjoy it man, it's a pretty special experience if you get a four man crew to run the dark zone with you. The mix of PvP and PvE is really rather unique even if they don't have the balance quite right. It's literally like nothing I've ever played before.
