@Superfriend: It's still honestly a rarity that people give much in the way of advice. It's like they don't think they have time to actually explain any game concepts to you, and they instead think they can salvage the match by just yelling at you to be less useless, as if new players have any idea what that means in the context of the game.
thats because it takes alot of time to type some of the stuff out and explain it... i'll agree yelling at them is dumb and shouldnt be done. id suggest if you are a new player to look at guides and stuff like that before playing. most of the time low level matches are just a troll fest because no one knows what there doing even the people who are yelling at you. at least in lol once you hit lvl 30 people seem too understand the basics
Debating is largely useless even if one participant greatly outdoes the other (unless there's a significant audience, even then not particularly useful); the internet is just a reflection of this taken to its logical extreme. Now as far as trolling goes sometimes its a good idea to make fun of people while you post your opinion of whatever, though this does require a sense of humor which may yet be uncommon. On the internet (and often in reality) I generally expect anyone and everyone to be a dumbass and am pleasantly surprised when they are not, if I write a personal message to someone it will probably be kind and straightforward but if I see an idiot acting like an idiot in a public forum I can not but attempt to troll them in some fashion. You shouldn't have much emotional attachment to whatever happens online though, anonymity does horrible things to people.
I find debating useless in general when dealing with the public at large.... its very hard to change someones mind especially if your not an expert on the subject at hand which lets face it is most of us.
It's shit like this that makes it difficult for e-sports to gain mainstream recognition. This sort of behavior hurts everyone.
i wouldnt say so there been stuff like this in actual sports the biggest one to come to mind is the black socks scandal of baseball....a comeptitive scene be it sports or mlg has this type of crap

I'm not at all saying this is a good thing - I support gun rights for self defense and hunting purposes, no one needs an assault rifle - but if someone was looking for those websites, they could have just looked them up.

I have no fear of anyone breaking into my home with a ground-to-air missile in their pocket. Granted, I don't have much of a fear of anyone breaking into my home with a handgun, either, because that doesn't happen often in the area where I live - but it happens often enough in other parts of America for me to support keeping a gun.
Oh, and the smartass thought that's already forming in your head, the one that says "well, if you didn't have guns in the first place...", that's an idealistic one. Sure, if we didn't have many guns circulating in the first place, then making it illegal to own one wouldn't bother me. But the fact is that we do, and the American government isn't going to start an initiative to take them all from a country that strongly believes in their ability to keep them - such a move would be political folly. So put that in your pipe and smoke it, and give your next reply half a second's thought.

Yep, the core mechanic is completely different, and thus the entire ideology is different. The movesets and characters act completely differently to compliment it's objective that is entirely it's own. The only similarities left are that it's a brawler from a side perspective, featuring a mish-mash of franchise characters.
But honestly, I would have preferred if they ripped SSB off a bit more... This game is not looking good in my eyes, mainly because it seems like you won't get proper feedback, as they talked about in the QL. If all that matters is the supers, unskilfully spamming attacks into a group of people for the majority of the match doesn't really scream fun to me.
I agree with this. It's most certainly different, but not for the better. Its attempts to diverge itself from SSB's may even be its own down falling.
sadly i feel the same. i wish they would add in a health feature of sometype other wise its just going to be all about the supers, I hope im dead wrong in this regard because other wise it looks like something i want to play.
