I most certainly recommend one, but only if you don't have a 3DS - the library is just so much bigger and more diverse there. Or if you just hate Nintendo titles.

But the Vita is awesome. I unfortunately have used mine for Playstation 1 games more than anything since getting one. That's kind of sad.

Any plans to print this as a poster? Any reason I couldn't take it to a print shop and do so myself? I love them both.

Wii u, PC, ps3, 3ds, vita. That's plenty until ps4 drops in price or has a good bundle.

It really is gross how bad the f2p stuff has gotten. I wonder if people will eventually just get sick of it and stop falling for it. Probably not. I have to wonder though, how many of the "whales" they talk about spending so much money on the facebook games and browser games are just people who are for whatever reason bedridden or handicapped and can't leave the house but have disposable income. Like why home shoping networks thrive.

It's gross to think that so much development attention and time and money is going towards tricking a vulnerable group of individuals like children, not making quality games. It especially makes you feel bad when you see not just the shitty companies like zynga or kingcom but companies like capcom, namco, sega, etc getting interested in it. Hopefully the talent isn't stuck there making that shit forever.

I was fully disgusted by the article explaining the "tricks" of getting over people's objections to buy virtual lottery items or power ups.

What really got me upset was the comment where some asshole in management from one of these companies basically said he can't wait to see what kind of innovation and creativity happens in the future once people wisen up to the tricks that are used today.

It tells me that there are people in decision making that don't just see this as a temporary fad, but as a long term evolution and direction for their company's development resources to go towards. Instead of any kind of innovation or fun in game design, it's creative new ways to exploit dumb people into paying money to progress in some pastel colored shit game.

@cheddartyme: You should turn down or off the stream audio (music) if you want people to listen to your commentary, it's echoing if you're listening to saltybet

This is not talking about Dota 2 or Leage of Legends or MMOs that have converted to free to play. I'm sure they handle their transactions and game balance responsibly and with care given to the quality of the game and the player's intelligence.

I am talking about the predatory shit on facebook and smartphones and browsers that is discussed in the article. You know, the ones that are making tons more money and catch a lot of the free to play attention.

This sure went shitty fast. Guess i know why the giant bomb forums are dead.
