I get the sense that Farcry 3 is just very poorly optimized. I am running i5 2500k and crossfire 6870's. I was having frame rate issues running the game on high settings and I haven't really had issues with any other games I have played

I am not talking about the maxed out settings either. I haven't played it for a week or so though so maybe it has been updated since then. There was also a driver update I installed today

To be honest I don't care a whole hell of a lot about the video quality in most movies I watch as long as it meets a certain standard where the image isn't fuzzy. I have a couple blurays just to justify my playstation, but really I don't care about picture quality in them like I do in video games. There is no doubt though, they look good. I personally just don't think they are worth spending the extra money on

Wait wait wait, you guys all got the story of Doom wrong. What happened was, demons come out of this gate on Mars and killed this badass dude's pet Rabbit. So he sets out on a revenge quest and slaughters just about every Demon in hell. Also there were some possesed dudes which is kind of said but there had to be some collateral damage if hell was going to be brought low

EA getting the UFC license is crazy considereding Dana White had some choice words about ea in the past, also the THQ games are really good so they have to proove themselves.

I thought EA MMA was a pretty good game, I liked it more than the THQ games so I was pretty happy about this announcement

Cyberpunk absent in gaming? Weren't there like 4 cyberpunk setting games released this year already?

I could be missing it, but the only game in recent memory that I can think of that I would say had a cyberpunk setting is Deus Ex.

CD Projekt RED is truly a highly talented and a PASSIONATE game studio. I don't say this much, because it loses its meaning when you say it about every game with some potential, but when it comes to this IP: This could be amazing.

They definitely have a mentality where they are concerned with the quality of the product as a whole and not just the game that has been absent since the 90's. I remember as a kid finding my dad's old Ultima games that came with all sorts of stuff; highly detailed instruction manuals, cloth maps, little trinkets etc. Those games were trying to sell a a much more all encompassing experience rather than a dash to the end of the story. CD Projeckt seems to have that same attitude and I really appreciate that about them as an old school PC gamer

@Hunter5024: IMO they have just played it safe (with the exception of WoW) and released the same exact games from SC1 onwards. Their games are alright but they do get way to much credit. Hell they canceled Ghost probably out of fear of the unknown
