Optimization was never strong suit in the Gothic series. When each game in the series was released, it chugged on decent systems and looked worse than other recent games that ran more smoothly. That's not to say that the games aren't worth fighting through that to play.
To support the site. I've gotten so much free entertainment from them from quick looks to endurance runs and all the podcasts. If they keep that up, its worth more than $50.
Yeah that demo quickly reminded me how much I loved pulling open drawers to hunt for loot while hiding from zombies and those goddamn dogs in Penumbra. This is a definate purchase for me too.
@birdflu777: Yup. The were called Flat Earth. My wife and I really liked em, but it seems like the crazier flavors were discontinued and all that was left was the cheddar and garlic and herb kind.
