LOL. Classic "Ken fighter" crisis seeps its way into the RE boards. Truth be told, i was expecting this from the start as when I started playing HD Remix, people picked ken almost all the time. So i thought to myself, when SF4 comes out, this is going to be out of control.
And it did. And it was......

Perhaps it is just that I think the controls for RE4 are much more responsive and tight then RE5. I actually HATED Resident Evil 5, it wasn't a survival horror game, it was just the bad controls that made it seem like that. Resident Evil 4 was a masterpiece, I just played it and compared Mercenaries modes, and I can DEFINITELY say that RE4's mode is better by leaps and bounds."
We're all entitled to our own opinions, but as far as Mercs goes, I find RE5's to be much better. Maps are much more creative and item placement is rigid. But then I only bought the game  5-6 days ago, beat it once and I was a lot busy with some coursework  and didn't really play it that much.   I do also think that the highlight of RE5 is not mercs but beating the campaign on hardest with random people on XBL. Its a lot of fun adjusting the the playstyles of others. I will concentrate on mercs after I'm through with that.

Hmmm. This sounds really interesting. And by the way, yesterday i was playing against a japanese (i think ) player and this was probably the best vega I ever saw. He flying barcelona'd from left to right making my projectiles absolutely worthless and every time I went airborne he izuna dropped me EVERY SINGLE FREAKIN TIME without missing even once!!  The instant i started jumping like crazy (fluking) he pulled off the ultra . I wish you all could have seen it, it was nothing short of artistry.  I was trapped in the middle of the screen and feltl ike a lab rat.I made a BIG mistake of not adding him, as he is probably gone forever...."
You know, you could just go through your history of people you've met and add him from there."
I'm not really sure who he/she is. There are a LOT of gamertags in my history......

I know what youre talking about. I really had a lot of trouble with this during one time.

Give about a second gap between  charging down and away and down and forward, wait half a second and  then just ram analog it up like an 'L" without even a pinch of hesitation. That's how I do it. Keep practicing it for a long period in training and soon you will be able to pull it off in tight situations.

Do you use the controller or a fight stick?? I can probably put a video of my controller motion for you if you want.

If you're having trouble nailing two consecutive focus attacks after he falls down in between, use this:

As soon as the match starts, block ,block, block. after he finishes attacking, press crouch+HK. No need to go airborne.  The focus has to be nailed whenever he's down. (Though most work, I find ken's to be more effective). If you don't wanna take any risks ,after the focus just dash and shoryuken him.
After that, go to a corner and block everthing he does. The moment he teleports, jump forward and he wont be able to hit you.
Remember when seth all of a sudden gets more aggresive?? Although it isnt too hard but keep jumping like crazy. Seth almost can never figure you out then.

I'd say about 6.0-7.5 range. I'm confident going into any match and always play to win, but the thing is that there are about 180 countries in the world and a lot of people across them play street fighter so It's hard to boast. I've has all sorts of matches : I've pwned, I've had close calls , Ones with cheap tricks, Epic showdowns and I've also been humiliated a LOT of times.....

Yeah, I could never play like that. Not even 5 percent. I mostly try and play with SF-2 era characters only. Though I had a pretty mean birdie (from alpha). Too bad he's MIA.

Most medium skilled players get confused with him running all around the screen so probably you can exploit that. But, like you I haven't gotten any good with him so far.. But I know what you mean, I got some serious pwnage from El fuerte online.  I just misjudge his move where he runs and jumps and splashes on you every time. His ultra combo is very effective though."
