I voted for Alis Landale, Sketch Turner, Ryo Hazuki, Axel Stone, Kazuma Kiryu & Bayonetta. Then again, I'm" a fan of like 95.7% of SEGA's IPs so I can't say I'd be angry with any of those choices. I would've voted for Jacky but he sucks, should've been Akira.
Shameless self-promotion!? I like this thread, here are some of my ads from my Vita catalog a while back with a random Cola one thrown in. The first one is a concept, the third one is the campaign I went with.
An old forum called sourceforum; back in 04 there were a group of people with generic Final Fantasy avatars who insisted on arguing with me and others over the most trivial of things. I won't say I got caught up in any drama that resulted in a ban, but fuck they were annoying.
@Mnemoidian: Steps mean nothing if there is no mass concentrated and articulate effort to actively access the root of the problem. Screaming justice for the sake of simply screaming justice falls on deaf ears more often than not (see: OWS & The later era of 2nd wave feminism). This is not a black/white issue as they're too many factors at play here, many of which that not confined to the video game industry.
And with all due respect, you've no place to tell me what I should accept nor dismiss, the concept of right and wrong is relative.
It was alright but I can understand the perception that this year wasn't that great if it's relative. For my personal tastes, can't really think of anything that I was really fulfilled with but there were some good games this year.
Whatever, stuff like this rarely changes anything if at all; just another "flavor of the month" act that'll be forgotten once the next raise awareness for X or change for X comes in. A twitter tag isn't going to break institutionally ingrained attitudes, both at the micro and especially the macro level in any business culture let alone the gaming industry.
