It's weird, people talk about Orn and Smaugh as hard, and the Four Kings as hard, but I beat both of those bosses my first try (granted I'd helped people beat O&S as a phantom to get sun medals) I thought the Bed of Bullshit was much more annoying, and Seathe and the the last boss.
I remember Patrick complaining about the lack of a fast travel in this game, but I really, really enjoyed rounding up my pawns and setting out on a journey from the capital to wherever, hoping to beat nightfall. I realize I'm in the minority, but I like games where just going from place to place can be part of the adventure.
I wonder if Dark Souls would be here if not for Load Our Last Souls.
DS is not the game of the generation. If anything Demon's Souls would be before Dark Souls since it not only started the series but was much more brutally difficult than DS. ME2 isn't really the game of the generation either--this whole poll has shown people just vote for what they like and not what's actually the game.
@drxlecter: If by "better game" you mean "the one that is winning", then yeah, people aren't going to defend or make arguments for the game that's winning because they can just smile and know that they have the right opinion.
I enjoyed Skyrim much more than CoD4, but if we're talking about the game of a generation then I cannot see any logical argument for Skyrim being more important or better than CoD4. Like I said earlier, people are letting the cool "generic fps Cawwadooty babies" shit cloud their judgment and memory of what was an incredible and very good game and one that made such an impact on the industry that we are still feeling it's effects now almost seven years later.
People let the CoD madness make them not vote for CoD4, but Modern Warfare was not only revolutionary in terms of online multiplayer, but the storyline and huge crazy event-based storyline was powerful and new. It's too bad people can't see through the blind CoD hate that later games engendered.
