I killed Ornstein and Smough after a two month hiatus from the game. I had an epic rage moment and quit. I came back a week ago and summoned one god-like dude, killed them so damn fast. In a couple of days I have destroyed all of lost Izalith and am working on Seath. This game hates me but i love it. Im not looking forward to the four kings though after reading this thread.

I have tried this boss about 15 times solo and twice with two NPCs and have still not beaten them. For the solo encounters I'm pretty sure i'm just playing shitty and getting frustrated because i'm using a Titanite Catch Pole which hits smough for about 108 damage every hit and still only beat smough solo twice. Also, I have gotten really unlucky with my summons because we could kill smough no problem, then they would die from Ornstein's butt stomp which would annoy me to no end. I would like your guys' opinion on this. Should I keep summoning phantoms and hope for the best, (I still have about 14 Humanity) or should I keep going solo?

Sen's isn't as hard as Blighttown in my opinion. Its more about remembering the traps and tricks than actually fighting things. I would try it out at least.

Yes Ryan can be negative and can complain but it's always about bad games. I was under the impression that everyone could complain about a bad game.

If you take the path to the right of the sealed door in the gardens, you can stay hugging against the left wall and go all the way around the whole area. You will have to run past one knight that is near some ruins in front of the door you need to go into but he's really slow so it shouldn't be a problem. At the top of that tower is another boss battle. I highly recommend ranged battle for it as well. All the people that say you shouldn't go here only say it because it's not the recommended easiest path, but after you beat this boss in the gardens, your done with the whole area and can go wherever you want afterwards.

I am playing as a wanderer and tried the bell Gargoyle about 5 times and got really messed up each time. I decided to grind out 4 levels, reinforce my two main weapons twice, and saved up to buy a magic staff and the arrow bolt things. 6 hours later (with much help from the magic bolts) I killed the Gargoyles my first try. WOO!

I might have to start over because whenever I go to a bonfire to level up it wont let me put points into anything and says ReqSouls 0 over everything. Can someone help me with this? Am I missing or forgetting anything?
