Congrats Ryan! Good catch.

Is there a pic of Vinny's wife?

She's the woman in the blue dress holding Max next Vinny.

@bonorbitz: Will do. The 4GB 770 seems sold out everywhere, so I guess I'll have to wait.

I think I'll definitely be getting a new console.. someday. Maybe when they drop to $299 in year or two. You're right @giefcookie, the exclusives are not blowing my mind right now on either platform. Also, with the new consoles essentially being PC's I think we'll be seeing a lot more cross platform support than last gen. Hell, even Dark Souls 2 is coming out on PC now.

Thanks guys, this has been real helpful. Yeah I have an i5-2500K. I've done some reading and the consensus seems that as long as I'm not going the SLI route the 2500K won't bottleneck performance. Now that I know I'll be OK with my current setup, I can spring the extra cash for the 4GB 770.

I know that there will always be some games that are just brutal... Metro 2033 for instance. But if I can play the vast majority of Xbox One/PS4 ports at 60fps/1080p, with most of the bells and whistles turned on, I'll be happy. The 770 seems to be the sweet spot for that. I think $500 for a new card is a no brainer when presented with $500 for a new Xbox. *shrugs* IMO at least.

After all the bullshit associated with the new consoles, I've decided to just stick with PC. I want to upgrade my video card from a GTX 580 to a GTX 770 so I can play all the new console games on PC maxed out/60 FPS at 1080p. I built my PC in early 2011 and I currently have an ASUS P67 pro Sandy Bridge MOBO, and an 850W corsair PS. Is this compatible with the GTX770? In other words, can I just stick the card in there and start playing? Would I lose a significant amount of performance by sticking with my current MOBO/CPU setup? I have the $$$ to goto Haswell, but if the FPS/speed difference is not considerable, then I won't bother. Thanks!

P.S> Not much of a PC guy, just use the thing to play games and that's it.

I thought it looked absolutely fucking amazing. I'm sorry I'm not the jaded sarcastic gamer type that seems to make up 90% of the user base here.

Everyone knows the single player is there just to show off your rig and introduce a bunch of cool graphical elements. The multiplayer is why we play. What's weird is how this game kind of came out of nowhere. BF3 was HYPE. HYPE to the fullest. It was like every trailer was an event and we were all speculating wildly about map sizes, game modes, and how fast our CPU needed to be to run it. BF4 just kind of snuck up on me. I'm really excited to jump back in. BF3 is one of the best supported titles out there, and even if I haven't liked all the new expansions they have come out with since launch, it's amazing that we get anything at all in this day and age.

If it weren't for Patrick and Alex, this site would have next to no daily content. I'm starting to question why I even have a membership when the premium stuff has become so few and far between. Why doesn't Ryan make premium content or review games? What about Brad? Why does it always have to be Jar Time with Jeff? People hate on Patrick, but at least he tries. Sometimes it sounds likes he is the only one with a pulse.

I haven't been since PAX east 2011 and to be honest, I think that was enough PAX for me. We had a great hotel room, 3 day media badges, but the whole thing was really overwhelming. The lines for everything were ridiculous. The line for the GB panel alone was unreal. I found myself having to choose between panels because if you didn't get to a line an hour early (minimum), you were pretty much screwed. The main expo hall is sensory overload and the food is AWFUL. The best part of the whole event for me was the table top gaming area. I don't get to play DnD with many experienced players, so I was stoked to actually dig in.

If I have any advice for first time PAX goers, is to temper your expectations and be prepared to wait... a lot.

I love it! It really looks great. The old site was starting to look really dated and clunky. I'm really digging the color balance between the lights and the darks. Very good design.

How about the guys put things to a vote. Make a poll -- Do you like these kinds of articles on the site? Yes or No? Whatever the results are, people need to accept or shut the fuck up and go elsewhere. End of story.

This community has been readying the rope to hang Patrick on ever since he was announced as the new official member of this site. Maybe I'm wrong, but I see that anti Patrick agenda coloring a lot of what is being said in these comments. That's not say good points are not being made attacking this article, because they are. It's just really hard for me to take a lot of what's being said at face value when the hate for Patrick on this site is so pervasive.
