What an embarrassment. Even completely ignoring the debate regarding the game itself, a big-name publisher like Capcom should be more together than this.
In terms of game quality, I can't think of a single time that Capcom has let me down, so yeah, optimistic.
I do wish the heroine didn't walk like a supermodel and wore such tight clothing- especially since they really don't even seem to be putting much of a focus on her body. If you're not going to be a total creepy disquieting sleaze with your sexy video game women, why make them sexy at all?
Candy corn and I have a love-hate relationship. It's weird. Sometimes I love it and sometimes I hate it. For the most part I think it's pretty tasty, though.
Ech. I just watched the trailer and... no. I mean, the classic FF style is a lot of fun, and in my opinion an inherently perfect RPG system, but it feels really stale when you're revisiting it after 6 games already used it. Also, the plot is cliché crap and I am astounded at how terrible the font choice is. Some have already said it, but yes, it looks exactly like it was made in RPG Maker.
It's hard to screw up a Spider-Man game these days, since nobody's really changed the swinging mechanics since Spider-Man 2 perfected them, so yes, I did rather like the game- though I played it on PS3. It's nice that the PC port is good, since most such ports are embarrassing disasters (howdy, GTA4).
I'm sad about Nintendo Power, but not so much about the layoffs. Yeah, it's unfortunate that some people are now out of work, but it was coming eventually. Social games are starting to wind down, and that means they're not worth as much.
Lemmings! That was my favorite game of all time as a kid, and sadly my computer is now too young to play it. Sony owns the rights now, and it looks like I'll need to get a PSP to play it again.
