The pacing between the Modern Warfare games and Black Ops are pretty different. I found myself getting destroyed when Black Ops first came out, as I was rushing like I would in MW2. Black Ops seems to reward a slower play-style; obviously the game is still very fast and twitch-based, but it does play slower than the Modern Warfare games. The differentiation in K/D could likely be as a result of the pacing; if you're playing it more safely and taking your time, then you'll probably do better in Black Ops. The other thing is that because of rushing working so well in the Modern Warfare games, it's really easy to get killed from the sides or behind, with the enemies running everywhere and anywhere.
Unable to change passwords for the time being, which I guess makes sense as the infiltrators could pull a fast one. Ugh, these intrusions happening more and more frequently is really quite bothersome, and pretty freaky when it happens to a service that you've got personal details or financial details attached to. I really hope this wasn't a poor security issue on Valve's side... or do I? If they had strong security and people still got in, that's bad, but having a weak defense and people getting in is also bad; no winning here.
