I am shocked that there is apparently such a rush on this NES Mini console, are kids really wanting these for christmas? I just can't understand how the cost for one of these is closing in and maybe even passing the price of a ps4/xbox one by the time the holidays are over. I must have really misjudged the appeal and how widespread it would be. These plug n play systems just scream novelty to me but it looks like the usual nintendo rush is in full effect. Wii's, Amiibos, now an emulator that looks like an NES. Try to have some patience if you are out for one, I can't imagine that most people would feel they got their moneys worth paying this far above retail. Kids will probably be bored of it and back to new games in a day too.

woah so many replies, i usually avoid politics, and haven't read most of the replies just because there are so many. I gather that most people are disappointed, but i'm willing to at least give Trump a chance. A whole lot of people were skeptical of Obama, but look how that turned out. Maybe it will just take time for President Trump to show what type of person he will be now that the nastiness of the campaign is over. I'm looking forward to see what he will do and maybe he will surprise us all and make for a great president.

I had my ps4 in standby mode and the power went out, it gave me that message about having to avoid turning system off incorrectly. I don't use the stand by mode on ps4 or xbox one much.

there is a lot of manipulation on steam reviews, especially with indie titles. Steam tried to correct some of that but got a backlash. I do like steam reviews for how quickly they address technical issues though. Batman PC got mostly positive reviews from outlets at release, it fell to steam reviews to make people aware how disastrous it was and youtube personalities like totalbiscuit and angryjoe. I don't think reviews or internet comments are that bad, it all pretty much balances out.

I think a lot of what your seeing comes from younger gamers, I know when I was growing up there would be a limit on the number of new games I could get. It was more important to me to buy a good game and even better if I could feel like my purchase was validated by positive reviews. I don't think things have changed that much, I remember gamespot getting some real backlash when they gave mario kart double dash a 7.9

Maybe we are just older now and find that reaction surprising, but I bet we may find that type of response to reviews hasn't actually changed that much.

What I have seen so far hasn't really appealed to me, but I know it can take time for new tech to find its footing. I'm in no hurry to make the investment so I don't mind waiting on sidelines to see how it progresses after launch.

i'd like to see a fully appreciated anime style fps game, maybe not like this though and more like valkyria chronicles. i've never played a Sk game, maybe i'll check this one out
