I have to admit I expect my French Canadian game designers to sound more Frenchy.
 
He has good reason not to be intimidate by the pedigree of the franchise given there was only one good game and its over 12 years old.  Getting Warren off this project was best news I heard about this game. With him out of the picture maybe we can get a good game.  It could be want Invisible War should have been.

This game looks pretty awesome. I'm wondering if I should go back and play the first two, because I continue to hear good things about them (well...the first one at least).

Can't wait... I think I'll play Invisible War as I haven't gotten around to that one....

When I heard Square-Enix was working on this game, I was worried, but it's reassuring to see a guy with a French last name as art director.

lol, I've never heard of the first deus ex, so when I first heard the name on the bombcast and ever since until now, I thought it was Day of Sex. Hehehe.

His mention of Ghost in the Shell as a major influence has made this a must buy for me, I am sold.

SO Gold and Black right...its our system, consists of a very gold and black palate in a gold and black world...did you notice the lay out of this site has "reply, quote and flag" in gold...and the background in black

Incredible cinematics, but I wonder how close will the actual game look.

For everyone wondering is you should play the first two games....yes I think you should. The first Deus-Ex was one of the first games I played on my first PC purchased. Blew our minds back in the day and today it holds up pretty well. Deus Ex: Invisible War...while not AS good as the first game I thought it was still fun and was a worthy sequel.
You can find them both on Steam for a pretty fair price.

Dude sounds so much like David Cage it's scary.

What I don't want is this to turn into another dumbed down third person shooter.  I want the same multiple choice gameplay from the first game.  I want there to be choices, where you can spec your character any way you like and it will still work in the game.   
However, the fact that the skills have no impact on shooting makes me a little scared. 

Now that they mention it, it does seem like this is Deus Ex mixed with Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell. 

Looks amazing. The dude kind of reminds me of Raiden/Neo.

Interestingly, my high school's school colors. Hm.

It's good to hear him say that the player won't be forced to use any of the four "pillars" of gameplay.  The thing that made the original Deus Ex so great was the variety of ways you could tackle each and every mission.
