Hot Damn! I am always up for some more Deus Ex. Whatever they do with it can't really be any more of a lame non-event than Invisible War.

Loving the aesthetic so far. Nail the open-ended gameplay stuff and we may have a hit on our hands.

This game looks pretty dang good. Should I play through the first two again before picking it up? Or hope that they have a previously on Deus Ex to refresh my old brain?

Mate i've seen a fae of these guys from Eidos interviewed and everytime they just come across as super nice & super excited about being on this project. Can't wait to part with some $$$ to pick this gem up.

Dunno.  I'm reserving judgment for this game.

I've never played the games in this series. After seeing this, I'm wondering if I should. Thoughts?

I don't really see the renaissance influences here. Looks more like a baroque aesthetic than anything. But as long as the game is as good as the first, they can call it whatever they want.

I have no prior experience with the Deus Ex franschise, which I'm thinking will actually benefit me in case I decide to try it out.

Love the music they used for the trailer.

Definitely getting a Blade Runner vibe from the footage.  Not that I'm complaining.  It looks fantastic. :)

These videos and every bit of info released make me feel like I HAVE to go back and play through Deux Ex again. But everytime I try, the story and atmosphere hook me, but it's gotten a little too dated for me. Really unfortunate. That's why I'm excited for this game.

It's amazing to see a real renaissance of talented developers revamping old franchises and building upon what made them great. 

Oh god Deus Ex is the best PC game ever.. and this is shaping up to actually respect it. I just hope the PC "port" is .. servicable.

Pretty interested to see where they take this, it's looking good so far.

I'd say it's unlikely you'll see any mention of JC, Paul, or anything to do with Alex being that this game is set roughly 30 years before the first one, for the sake of fan service though they could easily throw in another character named Denton or even an older character like Gunther Herman or Stanton Dowd.   If anything you'll probably see more about the establishment of UNATCO & some of the crazy corporations that recur in the series, as well as the gradual shift from cybernetics to biomods that was topical in the original game. And judging by all the Icarus references Human Revolution seems to be throwing out you could assume that stuff will tie in to the first game also. "

I am ready to see some gameplay now.

   I don't want to nitpick, but I saw some of the influence in his dream sequence and in the clothing. Slow it down and watch it again. Also, he's right about anatomy, especially if they're looking at Italian influence a la Da Vinci. Privileged citizens (read: wealthy politicians) used to go to dissections of bodies, especially in Florence. The Renaissance was very obsessed with the body, although there was a great deal of romanticizing of the body. I went to a guest lecturer here at the U a few months back; the speaker focused on Renaissance art and the body. =D   Renaissance artists were obsessed about angles and mathematically representing the body. That may indeed relate to a cyberpunk world where science has become organic. The speaker was Ricardo De Mambro Santos and he teaches at Willamette University in Oregon. "

As a huge fan of the original (and even Invisible War once I gave it a good chance) I can't wait for this. The ending of the video got me especially pumped with the soundtrack and all. I really, really hope they can pull this off.

As a Deus Ex fan.. I can't wait to see more. I hope this turns out fantastic.

Oh man I want this to be good.  Nailed the mood and atmosphere so far, and I like the influences from Ghost in the Shell, Bladerunner, and anime mecha.  Keeping my fingers crossed that it holds a candle to the first game.  Let's all just forget Invisible War ever existed. 

I find it strange that even though this is set before the other Deus Ex games the actual tech, the implants etc. seem to be MORE advanced.

I am more excited for this game than anything else on the immediate horizon.
