Endurance Run: Deadly Premonition: Part BR-18

Holy crap that was the most anticlimactic yet hilarious ending to that battle.

Funny how Brad blames the controls and aiming, yet was totally unable to beat this epically tough hyper-challenging boss encounter with an enemy  WHO SHINES A BRIGHT LIGHT IN YOUR FACE WHEN IT'S ABOUT TO ATTACK.

Similar but better game? I am interested.

I think one problem is while the game designers want you to do the side quests, everything in the game itself is all about making your time and not being late and do this, so neither Brad nor Ryan think about missing the time and coming back in a day or two to do it. They have been trained to play games where when it tells you to do something you do it.

Surprised that Brad doesn't take his chances killing crates for possible health, like the low crates to walk over.  

 
Tip on the ceiling ghostie, the ghost is solid after it attacks so just use the quick turn (use the reverse facing mode) hit it then & takes a while to kill this way.  Keep running back & forth down the hall, might have to pause a moment for it to go into attack mode. Just don't use the smg as after you hit it 2x there's a dodge move that pops up when it lands on the ground. The dodge is easy to miss when you are there turning that damn enemy into a chain link fence.

I didn't do any side quests when I did this part. All I did was run past her turn around and she was still in her glow hands and grab you animation so I shot her. I think I've only done one or two side quests at all, one was for the infinite 10mm though.

Boom! You beat that bitch.

AWESOME! 

Wow.  Brad was on 1% hp and was half a second from the wallcreeper's attack animation completing and killing him, when he just got off that second golf club swing and killed her.  I definitely thought that was going to go on for longer than it did.  Well done BR.

 She really isn't that difficult to kill, it just takes a while with the pistol.  They made it way harder than it needs to be.   You just run, turn, shoot.  Wait for her to fall to the floor, dodge her shot. rinse and repeat.  Pretty easy. Wait till later on when they'll fight like 7 of the wall crawlers in a row.

No one's saying the controls are great. But if Brad decides to hit her after she's announced her intention to attack, that's not really the game's fault. "

Yes Brad is good at games. He is just bad at talking while playing them, which is why it's so funny when he dies.

I think you've both missed the point of what being a journalist is. His ability to handle a controller doesn't so much affect his ability to report the state of the games industry nor his writing in general. I've heard plenty of journalists admit to being terrible at certain genres or games in general on podcasts (though I can't name any off the top of my head, sorry). "

Normally I prefer to watch VJ first, but after the end of the last BR I REALLY want to  see how they do this. Then again, I am posting this BEFORE I watch it, so for all I know it's 20 more minutes of them totally biting it over and over and over (you know. . . like last episode).

I think Brad knowing about the existence of the infinite SMG is probably due to the shitloads of comments on the last video where people were screaming for him to get it, insulting him and questioning his career because he didn't pick up a non-essential item in a budget game they were kind enough to subject themselves to for our entertainment. Probably had something to do with that. "

When Brad is nervous he becomes talkative, but he doesn't play well while talking so he ends up dying.  Repeatedly dying causes him to be more nervous.  It's a vicious cycle.

Man, I'm sure DP is a janky game, but also that it's not quite as janky as Ryan and especially Brad make it out to be.
