I usually just have patience and watch these videos for the amusing banter.
 
But seriously. This isn't really all that difficult. The switching and running up makes it a LOT harder than it needs to be.
 
You have a shotgun. You've seen it can take down a regular enemy in one or two well placed hits...I don't know how you didn't realize that when it happened, or why you chose to write the shotgun off as shitty. OBVIOUSLY it does a considerable amount of damage if you aim well...it's a shotgun.
Just keep using that. If you run out of ammo, by all means switch to something else.
 
Why keep trying to get in close with a damned KNIFE for no reason on an enemy capable of killing you in a couple of fast grabs? It's frustrating seeing someone wasting time switching to the knife whenever she goes to a wall. Just shoot, run, shoot, run, shoot...
I was SO relieved when the knife was about to break, hoping they'd realize the shotgun was better, but nope.
 
And yeah, those side quests and what not you've been ignoring? Turns out they provide some extremely useful goodies. Even if you choose not to do them, feel free to use money every now and then.

Lets see...you have two guns that use ammo...and THREE types of ammo taking up inventory space.
 
Wouldn't it make sense to store that assault rifle ammo until you find an assault rifle so you could possibly hold something else?

I share the same sentiment, but 'shotty' kinda sounds like 'shitty' and that kind of logic seems to make perfect sense when bearing the shitty controls and mechanics of this game.

Every time Brad accomplishes even the slightest thing, the first line that comes to me is, "Great, kid. Don't get cocky!" Because, like clockwork, Brad gets full of himself and starts taking stupid chances. Ryan warns him every time and comments on the inevitable outcome, "you did this to yourself," he says.
 
So, yeah, Brad: Don't get cocky.
 
That being said, I love Brad. Brad's frustrated by the game, but Ryan just sounds frustrated at Brad. Hilarity!

I think Brad is sharing his rage with all of us.  Come on Brad, you can do better! no matter how much you hate the game, PAY ATTENTION TO OUR SURROUNDINGS cuz at the end of the day, you're going to have to replay it when you die!

Slam the knife technique all you want, but either way they were a lot faster at beating those enemies than VJ with the inf SMG.

There's definitely a lot more pent up anger and frustration in the BR run compared to VJ.

Every 10 seconds Brad complains or moans about something and never pays attention to what's going on. Last episode when a zombie grabbed him Ryan said something like "why have you got your hands off the controller!?". It's a good point. They've been grabbed by zombies many many times so he must know he has to waggle the stick any second.  It makes it frustrating to watch, especialy watching the same boss like 10 times. It's like the polar opposite to the VJ ER where it's laughs and chuckles and they got loads of supplies and med kits. BR are just barely scraping through.

Sorry Brad but you had this one coming. After killing a few you totally got too cocky. I find it hilarious that Brad complains about the game mechanics when it's clearly obvious what they are. Yelling, "He takes his weapon out too slow." like you EXPECTED it magically start being drawn faster after 11+ hours is just silly.
 
What's the old adage? Fool me once, shame on you. . .Fool me twice, shame on me.
 
Brad seems to keep thinking  if he magically becomes more efficient with the game then suddenly the game will behave like he wants it to.
 
Sorry Brad. At some point you have to stop blaming the game and realize it's limitations and work with it.

And yet they work their way through. I follow both groups, and what I notice is that BR may actually  be more proficient than VR in the game mechanics. Getting to Diann's, and  up to the Wall Crawler Lady went smoother for BR,  despite all the angst and 'hubri'.  I actually wonder if infinite SMG has not ruined VJ a little. BR cirtaintly got through Diann's side yard quicker. 
 
And BR figured out the wall lady to at least surviving for a  consistent kill, though I wonder if boom-boom to the head  with the crowd pleaserboomstick/shotty is not the ticket. Besides how far to run etc. I would have even tried some 10 mill while she was fooling around with glowing things and solid  at range. 
 
I enjoyed whatching this, though mabe not because BR are having a good time behind it.

 ps.you guys need to go on a quest to get Legendary Guitar Grecotch, Damage=Super High (also unbreakable!!!). 

I have to agree with the minority here, while DP's mechanics are doing them any favors, neither is Brad's pretty poor play. I was getting really nervous when the knife's health was getting lower and lower, because I did during the breaking animation at least four damn times in that multiple wall-lady corridor.

With every BR episode I am amazed at how bad Brad is at games.

Brad needs to stop whining like a little girl and blaming the game, when he is clearly himself fucking up extremely bad, like, why the hell wouldn't he use a health kit the second he got hurt bad, the game fucking pauses when you go to that menu.

NIce handling of the wall ladies, except omg why do they have so much health!? Is the golf club really that much stronger than the mission knife? At least the knife lasts a long time.

At least they finally know about the unlimited SMG. Hopefully it should make the game go easier for them afterwards, since I'm favoring BR as opposed to VJ.

How did VJ manage to catch up to BR? They were miles ahead a few episodes ago.

"Your hubris will be the end of us, Brad!" Ryan has a great use of English. Always uses words I haven't heard for ages. I love the circle of Brad being frustrated at the game, then Ryan being frustrated at Brad.
 
I've not played the game so I'm not sure how easy it is to miss stuff when you're actually in control, but there's so many things on the HUD that both team VJ and BR miss all the time, such as ammo being low, heart rate being high, gas running out, "Attack" being listed on some quick time events, items in rooms to pick up... It's probably that it's just more obvious when sitting here and watching it, but all these things seem like something I'd be keeping an eye on.
 
Anyway, really enjoying both endurance runs. Looking forward to seeing how each team takes on the story.
