My biggest problem with the STO life time sub.  Is that they are removing the option! It's just a impulse buy.  But if someone is a Trekkie... then go for it.  Just seems like a huge waste. Especially for someone like Jeff, who is constantly talking MMO-RPGs down.   
 
Seems like jeff would be better off saving his money, and paying month to month.  Then replacing a few of your default PC audio files with Star Trek Enterprise like sound files.   MP3 what ever.

 
 
Also, doesn't Rambo kill Galt, the deputy cop guy, who is in a Helicopter.  By using a damn rock?!  AFTER jumping off a cliff.

I knew i shouldnt have played the original for a week! i fell in love with it more than i ever did! and now ME2 is gunna disappoint me big time.
 
How could the game have less weapons!? the first one suffered a serious weapon model problem, and you're telling me this one is even worse with no manufacturers? wow... i know there's more weapon types, but that aint cool

This is off to a promising start.

Brad's Mass Effect 2 impressions are based on Brad's Mass Effect 1 impressions - all based on their XBOX360 'framerate and texture technical issues'. I play both on PC and have no clue what Brad and the others are talking about.

As much as I love the Bombcast, I'm kind of getting sick of Star Trek Online.

There are TONS of older Star Wars games that are amazing, Bioware should have what they need to make TOR great.
 

• KOTOR
• Tie Fighter
• Rogue Squadron
• all the older Lucasarts games

I am now excited about the new Prince of Persia.

Good time to get a cast in, got something to listen too while I build lego tanks and wait to go to a physical later today.

I'm getting the KOR game not cause I like mmo's, which I don't, but because I like bioware games.

As much as i hate both Star Trek and Star Wars, there are pros and cons to both franchises:
 
1.) Star Trek, the original show, was ground breaking as it challenged contemporary social norms and espoused a message of hope for the human race despite its barbarous instinct. Also, it exudes a campy charm (easily demonstrated by its countless parodies). 
 
2.) The original series and Star Trek The Next Generation were weekly television shows with memorable characters which instills a much greater presence and more easily becomes part of culture.
 
1.) Star Wars was the Matrix of its era, ushering in a new standard of visual effects and blockbuster cinema events which has shaped the modern theatrical release cycle.
 
2.) Star War spend much of its time outside of spaceships actually showing one what the worlds in the universe look like instead of periodically beaming onto planets (sound stages) and inside of buildings. 
 
But all this notwithstanding, I just never got into either of these franchises. I prefer Red Dwarf although it also has its limitations. And of course, it is impossible to make a rendition of Hitchhikers's Guide to the Galaxy which does justice to the original source material and the novels. 
 
 
Now, about poutine. That it is not Canadian. It is (unfortunately) Québec's best known delicacy (among the myriad, and better, others). The difference between Québec and Canada is obvious; I mean, if the world excepts that Germany and Austria are seperate countries, then why all the vicious bigotry against Québec.
 
Also,  "People who have fun at the expense of other people's fun are assholes", that is why you are awesome Brad.

I let my lil brother touch my beard! haha I'm 21 and he's going to be 3 next month lol. Also, my dads Newfoundland really loves rubbing up against it. Which isn't always the easiest because he is bigger than I am haha.

This was a crazy (and awesome) bombcast, especially the email section. 
 
I find it weird though that you guys assume the majority of people watching playoff football would not be interested in ME2. If anything, I think the majority of people watching the football game would not be aware of ME2, which is why I think it was pretty smart advertising.

I've been for two assessments at SEGA for a QA position. The first 1 on 1 interview was quite professional, went well. The second one, about 4 months later, the girl interviewing me professed her desire to commit suicide  which could be considered a plausible real life interrupt feature.   
 
I don't think I'll apply again.

While Blood Bowl is the worst game ever at teaching you how it's played, it's fucking low of you to suggest people base their purchase on your quick look, considering you barely know how the hell the game works in the first place. Low.

Tons of great one liners from Jeff and co. on this week's cast. Sounded like everyone was having a lot of fun. Great work gentlemen.

Jeff, I agree that people shouldn't blindly follow and purchase the lifetime subscription of STO.
I hope those people at least tried the beta and reasoned it out for themselves beforehand.

Did people ever tell how kick ass the opening and closing song is?
