The DOOMcast continues

I played quake 3 on dreamcast dial up

i wonder if quake live or unreal would scratch the same itch for me as doom multi? Hearing the crew talk about it makes me want to try alternatives i hadn't considered before.

@chiefersutherlnd: I think it would. New Unreal is really, really good and I recommended it if you want an arena shooter.

When are the new Live shows of the bombcast recordings happening? (if they still are)

@dzll: When they're ready basically, they haven't given a time. They've been recording video of these recordings for a few weeks now to test stuff and see what does and doesn't work. So when they're happy with the result they'll start live streaming it.

My guess is that they'll start shortly after E3.

I've always wondered who the Running Marine is in that Doom cover. What is his story? Why is he rushing to meet Doom Guy? Is he a friend, a brother, a lover? I want to know.

While Until Dawn gets a lot of deserved praise, the 3 times i watched a playthrough of it, and hearing Dan's story,makes it apparent that the end is very flawed. Almost everyone makes it to the endscene with a good amount of people alive. And then they lose multiple people to that last scene. It reminds me of the beach scene of that old Rob Schneider FMV game they played a few years back. A Fork in the Road?

Which is hilaaaaarious this week as about 10 minutes later Jeff is absolutely raving about how amazing Doom is.

Hello everyone Its Dooooomsday and its the Giantbombcast.

Already predicting a heated battle between Doom and UC4 for somewhere in the top 3 GOTY deliberations. Personally I can't imagine anything beating Doom for my #1, unless Witcher 3 DLC counts...

@baka_shinji17: i think it's the doomguy from the future, come to warn his younger self of portents most foul (like don't open that soda yet as it got really shook up before he took it out of the vending machine)

UC4 won't even crack the top 5. I'm willing to bet on that.
