@brad Pocket Card Jockey was only announced for mobile in Japan, as far as I know only the 3DS versions have actually been released so far.

I'm glad Jeff finally talked some adult sense into all this feces talk. It's "poop" and it's gross but it's not flesh eating bacteria. You do what you gotta do and then you just wash your hands and thats it. I've been seeing people on the forums reacting to all this feces talk like it's nuclear waste.

Random slams, if not done in a joking manner, do irritate me a tad. I usually think of them like they're Jon Stewart that one time he did the Windows 95 Slam.

I actually strongly agree with this viewpoint generally, but in this specific example talking openly about story details in a game that is so much about the storytelling seemed insane. Like I honestly wouldn't give a crap if he chose to spoil Doom, but the entire experience of playing Uncharted 4 is built on you wanting to see the rest of the story.

Funny how the guys act so disgusted at the idea of people making loot crate videos, which is just advertising which is also on this site. Those damn kids.

I imagine that one of the National Treasure 2 / Uncharted 4 spoiler-y comparisons is how they both end in an escape from a crumbling flooded cave, but really, what Indy-like alternate-historical treasure adventure doesn't end that way. I can think of two more movies with that ending!

Interesting to hear Jeff talk about what I imagine to have been E3 judges week during the few days trip. I know he can't talk about it yet but he didn't sound overly impressed, but that was coming right off of the Doom praise.

Like he said, hopefully E3 has some surprises for everyone.

Uhhh Jeff, I don't want to tell you how to read your ads but I'm pretty sure it's not Whore Craft. I think they made a movie like that in the 90's but they just called it The Craft.

Gawd I'd love to get into both Doom and Overwatch but I only just bought Uncharted and Dark Souls within a month of each other plus I'm Gamefly-ing stuff on my back log. I even have The Witcher DLC that I never started and a handful of indie games on hold. Vinny's words of wisdom really ring true of this being the best time to play video games. It's such a good time that I don't even have time or money to get into the hottest stuff coming out. At least it feels like games are on an upswing right before E3. Looking forward to whatever goofy coverage you guys produce.

Stern isn't as great as he used to be, and he is woefully part-time, but his show is still consistently the best Talk Radio out there. Great characters, bits, and interviews. I came into the show during the Artie years, and really love that era, but the show is still pretty great.

I don't even mind that Brad wanted to spoil UC4, since all that means is that I turn off the podcast 4 minutes early this week. Big whoop. The problem for me has always been that Brad only ignores it when it fits him. The fact that he even asked the crew to not spoil a game on a GOTY podcast a couple of years ago, in the best story category, is inane.

Just a thing that really bothers me everytime it comes up. Complete hypocrisy.

Job's done

A big thing that Howard Stern did that was innovative was make the show about himself and transparent. He had people who worked on the show on the show, even people in minor roles. He had the whacky regular callers and even got them involved in the show and in the studio. He talked about his personal life, real raw moments and mundane day to day life. He beefed with other DJs and execs in the company openly on air. He would openly talk ratings, which is not a thing DJs would do back then. A lot of people ran with these things after so it's easy to forget he was the big innovator. Bits and pieces may have been going on with other DJs but Howard Stern really nailed this stuff in his time. Before he became popular a lot of radio was much more robotic, with on air personalities not putting much out there besides maybe a whacky persona.

The tits and ass stuff was never the draw for most real fans I would say. Like my mother is a Stern fan and would find that part of the show gross but would still listen through for the rest. But you would always see that stuff on TV and front and center because that sells I assume.

I have listened to Stern some at times, but was a regular listener of Don and Mike when that was on and then Don some afterwards recently when he had his own show. Don is a big radio industry guy and always gives Stern tons of credit for all these aspects, clearly it was a big influence on the Don and Mike Show. Those shows were similar to Stern in that they are 4 hour type affairs so the pacing is slow most times for sure. It's made to have on but not need to maybe pay absolute attention to every second. But when there was build up and things going on in real time over those long shows it can be pretty great. It was always a great format for someone who needs a lot to listen to through the day. I miss it.

It's really not that bad. I've been playing with a controller on PC and it's totally fine, even when sniping. I'm just way more comfortable with a controller, using KB + M will end up hurting my hands.
