I gotta say, listening to this while at work and listening to how damn near gleeful Jeff was while talking about Doom made my day. Jeff's enthusiasm for Doom was about on-par with his enthusiasm for Super Mario Maker, and that's saying something.

Naw, man. That Mortal Kombat is okay, haha.

Dan and Brad seem to like it, but Brad seems to regard Rise of the Tomb Raider as a better game. And both already stated that the platforming from ledge to ledge get's pretty old. Jeff won't like it since it's Uncharted and Austin also sounds like he's not going to fight for it.

Yeah, true enough. It baffles me that while Brad recognizes how good the story is in UC4 he still seems to like RoTTR more. The writing there was so bad and so boring. I don't think it did anything particularly amazing gameplay-wise to make up for that.

Also, the enthusiasm for Doom is a relief after how near-unanimous the dislike of TW3 was. Nice for my taste to align with theirs in a big way after how totally disconnected I was from those talks. Doom is the best game I've played since TW3 released.

This comment is assuming you have a PC you already game on.

There is literally an Xbox program installed by default on WIndows 10. I've harped about this a few times here but, this seems like a step closer to having a console "app" on PC. If you can expand the audience of people buying exclusive Xbox content without the barrier of another $400 box on why not?

The next monitor anyone should get if you can afford it is a 1440p 144hz monitor, with a 980 very demanding run at 60-80fps and less demanding games get 120+ fps. 4k is not there framerate wise and 21:9 monitors have too many compatibility issues imo.

Tried the Overwatch Brawl with Tracer. Basicly no cooldown on the blinking so you can just constantly blink around the objective. I didn't feel so well after that.

I'd love to hear the final bits of evidence re: the similarity between Uncharted 4 and National Treasure 2 since I'm never going to see that movie and probably won't play U4. I hate that talking about the plot of a piece of media in ways even slightly more specific than abstracted emotions has become strictly verboten until some undefined amount of time has passed, but I guess that's for neither here nor there. The point is, I want to hear the rest of that email.

I hope Oculus just goes silent until they have something to sell. Right now they produce something like 300 HMDs per day, with no motion controllers, and they're somehow still the face of VR... They should absolutely not be the face of VR.

At present, Oculus could be summed up as "Startup fails at delivering product." Hardly rare.. Add kickstarter and facebook into the mix and the current debackle kinda makes perfect sense..

With the way they vote who ever knows. Mario Maker won Game of the Year because of literally one mans crusade. Dan really loved it but it was Jeff that single handedly pushed it to number 1 despite the majority of the crew either not really getting into it or not thinking it's worthy of being top slot. If that can happen, and it has happened before with Brad filibusters, then who knows maybe Uncharted will make it high up there by default. I do think that gameplaywise Rise of the Tomb Raider is a much better game as it's much more interesting and offers the player a ton of choices. Uncharted is a very A-to-B sort of experience with little to no player choice along the way.

I can already tell that Doom will be high on this years GOTY. Maybe higher than Uncharted 4. I gotta play Doom someday.

Why do people come up with all these crazy solutions to clipping their nails without them going everywhere? Just get some nail clippers that have those plastic casings around it that gathers them up.

I love that everytime they discuss how "the internet" has become more polarized, divisive and hyperbolic they punctually fail to realize how they are an active part of this process :D

I think the ranked mode that they add to Overwatch in late June will help keep it from getting too bad with the super pro meta stuff.

I definitely agree that Overwatch is tough for playing solo though. When I'm not playing with a group of friends I almost don't want to play it at all.

I can't believe Brad was honestly considering spoiling Uncharted 4 on the podcast. The game came out 2 weeks ago and he was seriously weighing the possibility of spoiling it? Thank god for Jason and Drew saving us from madness.

I am a giant advocate for installing a bidet in your home toilet. The cold water ends up being therapeutic and you get used to it after one or two times. I just got two of these for my apartment and have really gotten spoiled by them. Raw, dry toilet paper is such a bad idea to me now. This works so much better.

It's gratifying to hear Jeff be so enthusiastic about a game, especially an FPS.

The DOOM love is great but it's nowhere near perfect. Those Boss Battles are not great and that last level with the way it works was really draining.

Cage Spotting is fun; my favorites are when he's in anime stores
