This video is up there with the Persona 4 Endurance Run and Phantasmagoria as the best content on the site.

I hope that 1.People weren't being serious with the Dan booing(I doubt they were but you never know) and 2. That Dan didn't take the boos to heart. Seemed like a good time.

And here I was thinking this was going to be PAX's biggest shitshow. Then the wrestling panel happened.

I watched this live and I'll still probably watch it again. Such is the magic of Mario Party and the duders (crowd included). The hottest of content.

Who knew that what was missing in a Mario Party Party for me was an audience. That was great.

They were seriously booing Dan but not out of dislike/hatred of course. It's all part of the fun and Dan was revelling in it as the game went on so he knows how it is. He's a wrestling fan after all. Dan was getting heat!

I'm really not a fan of these live studio audience game plays. I'm glad it doesn't happen often.

My favorite part is the last five turn briefing where it says ,"if it's that easy then this aint a Mario Party!"! Then Jeff says, "they know"! I knew at that part that something epic was about to happen, then......... Watching Dan's face change from the last 6 turns is great!!!

I hope they do the next ones live as well, judging by this one, there's more energy and it's more entertaining to watch. Specially during the final turns, they were already really good by itself but the crowd hyping it and rooting for Drew to win made it even better.

It being a live PAX event kinda nulls the need for that restriction.

Plus, a membership sale often coincides with a free episode of a premium GB feature or something of the sort, like when they do it during the Big Live Live Show.

I burned a good portion of my Friday at PAX for this and it was 100% worth it.

This Mario Party was better than most Hollywood movies. Four hours of pure entertainment!

The audience really made for an awesome addition to this mario party. Watching Dan play the heel was so awesome and it hurt so bad to see it robbed from him.

The best part of the Part was when Dan told Drew to go ahead and take one of his stars because he had so many and he was guaranteeing a win.

You need all those frames to truly appreciate how fucked over you are by the RNG.

I thought I wouldn't like this format, but this turned out to be pretty amazing.

Here's a little bit of trivia for everyone. Drew and Dan were very close to tying each other in both coins and stars at the end—just a one bonus star difference. In the event of a tie-game, the players who tied will all need to hit a dice block (standard 1-10 block) to determine who is the true winner. Yep, no tiebreaker minigame, no special challenge, just a completely random bullshit roll. For a game that's notoriously arbitrary, it's pretty fitting.

That was one of the best things I've ever seen. No exaggeration.

If Jeff used the chomp earlier and not wait until he lost all his coins again it could have been a tied or less nail biting.

This was horrible. (The game, I mean.) Like, I could see anywhere from broken friendships to murder stemming from this thing.

I have a distinct distaste for games (board or video) that rely heavily on luck. Thus, Mario Party looks like a goddamn nightmare.

Why do the mini games seem better than the previous games?

Still can't believe I sent them Mario Party 5 and they decide months later to do it live in my hometown that's as crazy as the ending, great job Giantbomb crew for great PAX weekend the crowd was hyped.

Best thing I've watched all year. Not just on this site. Anywhere.

This one was the funniest yet. That board is completely approachable, and still terrible because of that one star placement, and the capsules you could throw to make the board game equivalent of minefields appear only made things more messy as the game went on. What the game threw at them, and what they did with it, was amazing this time around. Laughed so hard at those final turns.

Good on the audience for being cool, too. I think single fans getting to talk on videos can get a little awkward, but as an audience, you really made this a great show with the chants and reactions. For hours!

Something about this brought feelings of when I watched Raw is War and Smackdown 15 years ago, I didn't know I needed to feel that way again, this was great.
