Quick Look: Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Beta

This and MW2 multiplayer being around at the same time makes me feel like my need of awesome online FPS is completely and utterly satisfied.

Way better than Modern Warfare 2.

I wish these type of games had a little more blood to make it seem like an actual battle, when you shoot someone they should bleed, when they get blown up by a grenade, there legs should blow off.

Tip: Dart from cover to cover and stay low. Standing in the open will get you killed quickly in BFBC2
 
Also Engineers are op although you won't see that in this quicklook

Jeff is making this game look crappy because he's not really good at all.

Looks pretty cool. I might pick it up just to alternate between this and MW2 whenever I'm bored. I remember playing the demo and it was a lot of fun but I never picked up on it.
 
Oh and can anyone confirm to me if there are dedicated servers for the 360...? Or is that just the PC? Because I can't imagine how that would work for the 360.

btw, You can drive in 3rd Person, forgot what the view switch was.

Really want to get into this without preordering till i'm sure I want it. Can't tell if i'm going to wait till it's dropped in price or not.

The wounded indicator on the screen is so much better then Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2's.

why is it so damn bright

This Beta looks so much better than the MAG Beta I played last night...

I put in just over 20hrs into this beta and then last night all the stats got wiped.  Leaderboard was still there with my 999kills and 122111 score, but all the gadgets and weapon unlocks were gone.  Game is really fun, and I'll be buying it in March (for PC).
 
also, I got my key from IGN because apparently I am a "Gamespy founder".... I remembered my old Gamespy ID from like 2001 for Borderlands PC, and I logged into IGN with it and they gave me a key.  Also, official BFBC2 Twitter threw up a bunch of a codes about 8hrs ago.

up on the D pad puts vehicles into third person

Game has great graphics. Also great QL. Spawning in the sniper nest was great.

rocket laownchers, yessir!

Bullet drop for all weapons and enemies are killed with fewer bullets. 
 
It's already a vast improvement on BFBC.

It looks like this has regenerating health, but the first one had a health bar. Can anyone comfirm the health scheme? I thought a health bar was a better fit for this type of game.

I played the beta for about 15 minutes before turning it off and going back to MW2, this game is such garbage.

never played bad company, but it has more destructible environments than most games and its always fun to play stuff up.

Playing Bad Company 2 Beta on the PS3! It's nice to see a gaming website, such as this, play on all systems equally instead of favoring a particular console.

Dude I live in Chile and there's no war, no ghillie suits and definetly not a weird arabian dude shouting stuff at dudes. There is desert though.

The reason youre sucking is youre just running around towards the enemy. Let the enemy do the running you do the shooting, defend those objectives, they'll come to you.
