Quick Look: Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Beta

From my experience in Bad Company 1, defending is usually much easier than attacking, especially if you've got a couple of support guys throwing med-packs down in one area where you can just hold the position. 
 
This looks great, although I wish there was a Beta for the 360 or PC!

Jeff is seriously terrible at this game, and a lot of others.

looks AWESOME

the framerate seems janky.

the game is good, but i still find my self only playing it for a round at a time, then switching back to MW2.

Cool. Now I don't feel as bad because I am not the only one that died 300 bazillion times.  
 
Now you guys need to do a MAG "BETA" Quick Look.  If Ryan thinks that 12 on 12 is a pretty sizable match then he needs to see a 128 on 128 match. 

Every multiplayer Quick Look needs to end with an epic team kill. Not sure how you'd top this one though...

Getting shot randomly in the back basically defines this game ever since 1942.

I really like the sound effects of this game. The gunshot sounds are really solid.

I love how Ryan always uses the Metal Slug "Rawket Lawncher".

Man, as good as this looks and as psyched as I am to get back to my campus apartment to play the beta, it just won't feel like Battlefield without a mouse and keyboard. Guess I'll have to wait a couple months for a PC beta though.

Jeff is not a bad player, but he should definetly look around more.

Hello pretentious British grammar assholes. We speak and spell this way because it is considered correct here. In school we would get bad marks if we spelled words your way. Please try to take a more open view and realize that there was a tongue-in-cheek tone about what Jeff and Ryan were saying. Almost all other games are localized for North American spelling when they are released here.

I love the sound effects in BF. It sounds like what I imagine war sounding like.
 
I have a beta code if anyone wants it. I don't have a PS3 so I can't use it.

The UI and Graphics and sound are great in this game.
Hopefully I can scrounge up a beta key :)

I loved the BF series and though I enjoy MW2 so far... I do wish for vehicles... Perhaps I shall pre-order and cancel for the beta :P.

British english is the most stupid phrase ever. If you really think hard about what that means. There is no American french or american spanish its just french and spanish. English comes from britain so it's just called English.

Jeff, to get the vehicles in a third person view, press UP on the D-pad dude!    My only gripe is the flickery badly aliased graphics compared to the first game.  Hope that gets cleaned up in the final game.

It's chile and not everything is first-person, the car can be viewed by 3rd person.

C'mon guys, quit getting your panties in a knot every time a difference between American and uk english is brought up, it's so chlidish. They're both100% correct, it just depends on what part of the world you were raised in.
 
 In America we spell and pronounce words differently from you guys. Get over it, It's not that big of a deal. If it really bothers you so much then maybe you should stop coming to an American site and save yourself the horror of having to experience a different culture that does things in a slightly different way than you're used to.

The game is pretty ugly. Sound is awesome though.

I think Bad Company 2 will suffer like BF1943, it is very hard to find a good game in BF1943. There are way too many nubs who drive things into water or don't wait for you before launching a boat. The BF series seriously lack any team cooperation 

On topic, This game looks great. I hope they hold over the funny from the first one in single player... all the trailers so far have seemed like they're going more serious.

im bloody sick to death of ruddy fps mmo, really there so boring..  
 
theres nothing like a good story and single person fps. the moment they all go mmo is the moment i walk away from gaming all together. 
 
mirrors edge,bioshock, half life 2 there all great wonderful games. and there single person. strange that

UK/British English is its own thing as is American English and one is no more "correct" than the other, except for the region in which you're using it. And really, if UK English is the One True English, I guess the 320,000,000 people in America better start pronouncing things the stereotypical English way, too, eh?
