I certainly hope this duel joystick shooters don't become a fad... G.I. Joe: The Movie: The Game was a pile of shit. This game looks... better, but really, who cares? Its still a crummy genre.

The game doesn't look like anything groundbreaking, but it does remind me a lot of Lego Star Wars, which is definitely a good thing.  Looks to be a good co-op game, but with everything else coming out, I think it's going to be over looked.

It became clear a long time ago that Lucas doesn't care a good goddamn that he's ruined his universe, his franchise, and countless childhoods that loved the original Star Wars. This game...this is something truly awful.

Again, I think that's unfair.  The Jedi parts aren't simply duel-stick and seem to involve a lot more platform elements, etc.  I don't see anyone complaining about games like Mavel Ultimate Alliance, for example, which was very similar to this.
 
Again, I don't think it's going to be the most indepth game ever, but it looks like a decently fun Lego Star Wars-esque game.  If you're looking for some mindless fun, it should be decent enough.  Plus in the UK anyway, it's only £30.

All this Star Wars Clone Wars crap is slowly killing my soul...but really I can't blame them for making stuff or kids, I mean I was a kid when I watched the old Star Wars movies. I sure hope Bioware manages to keep some of the maturity (at least it's mature compared to the clone wars CG cartoon) from KotOR into Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Have you seen any of the show?  It regularly shows people getting killed on screen, sometimes quite violently.  The last episode of the first series had one of the main villians snap a dudes neck for crying out loud!  And that was on screen, no cut aways or anything.
 
Some of the dialogue is pretty off and parts of it are obviously aimed at children, but no more so than the original movies.
