@carg0: I think Brad said it's thirty for the online pass. I'm pretty sure this piece of DLC is ten.

He just needs a "Quicklook play mode." Such as giving a brief run down of new features etc.

Put simply, he needs to make himself a checklist on quicklooks.

Yes. Please. It was a bit weird hearing Vinny trying to ask Brad at the start about "new mechanics" and such, like what was new about this DLC that would interest people.... and Brad was just too caught up in the game to actually give a straight answer. He kind of never did.

With that said... keep on QLing!

I don't know if it's the right place to say that, but @drewbert, this video was really painful to watch at times video quality wise. I don't know if it's because of the next gen consoles or just because Dead Rising 3 has a lot going on all the time, but most of this video is a big blob of mush (I'm watching in the highest quality, of course). A higher bit rate would've been welcome.

Of course, I know you guys have talked about this in the past, and the issue of space is there (it's the reason you guys cut archives into 2h chunks I think), but when more next gen games are released, this will be an issue as the graphics are going to be the draw for most of the early PS4/X1 games. I would love to know where you are at in this regard.

@robertorri: Yeah I've never seen Dead Rising 3 so this felt bit too rushed, maybe he just had a bad day or something =).

Yeah, the video kinda has an oscillating Make My Video style smear filter going on.

I know people complain about it all the time and then people complain about people complaining about it all the time, but man, watching Brad play this was painful.

The DLC was actually fun, it's just Brad not playing well yet again. Always seems like he never remembers anything he did from the original game, give how much PP he had.

I love Brad. But he doesn't demo games right. Depending on the game, he habitually spazzes out the camera from the start, which can get disorienting. And then he goes on these little tangents, instead of explaining the premise of a game and doing the obvious thing that is the game's intended progression. I know the site's casual or whatever, but still, meet us halfway nah.

I think the proper term is 'zambambos'.

I prefer 'Zombles'.

How does 'Zumbas' tickle your fancy?

I like Brad, and I don't want to really add to the plethora of comments regarding his play-style here, but this video was really rough to sit through.

When doing a quick look like this, especially a DLC quick look, you really need to show off, you know, the DLC!! FFS You ran around for 30 minutes and basically didn't do anything. You didn't say anything of substance regarding the DLC, the plot, the new items (well if you don't count trying to figure out of an item is new to the DLC or from the original game, which you did a lot of)...

Now maybe this DLC was just complete garbage, and there was no plot, new items, etc... worth showing. But somehow I doubt it is as bad as you see in this video...

Listening to Vinny at the start try to give some direction and structure to the quick look, and Brad basically ignore him, talk about hair-pulling inducing content.

I have to agree that Brad was a pretty poor presenter here. He needs to take cues from the others and bring some purpose to the Quick Look, rather than get constantly distracted by minor tangents.

This game looks super dumb. I realize 'dumb' is one of the core tenets of the series, but this is gone too far. One thing that strikes me about the original QL and this, is that you're never in fear of your surroundings. It's like la-dee-da killing thousands of zombies, like you're out for a sunday stroll in the park or something. I'll take L4D any day when you're constantly in fear of getting overrun and there's a real tension to making it to the safehouse.

I didn't watch this all the way through before since, like I said above, I didn't even have a One so I didn't play three yet, but now, I've gone through it all and it was a great game, so now I'm back to watch this. It's great to see this video now that I know of the locations and how to play the game as opposed to last time when I had little idea as to what's what other than my experience of the previous Dead Rising games.

Boy, watching Brad try to get past the barricades, and then go the wrong way when he thought he knew the way was pretty bad, not in the sense that I think Brad sucked, just that I remember which way it was an was thinking "not that way, you're just going to waste time." Furthermore, Brad doesn't know what he's talking about; at least not when it comes to the casual story mode, the safe houses stay safe, they don't get overcome by zombies again.

I don't expect them to remember every single game they play, but it's somewhat frustrating when it's a game I just played or simply one I remember and yet they get facts wrong... Though I hadn't tried the hardcore mode, so maybe they do take back the safe zones there, which sounds like that would suck. Unfortunately, one of my biggest problems with the main game is that they don't set you free after the credits, or rather, instead they leave you with a new game plus, and it's cool to have all your upgrades, weapons and clothes, but all the areas you discovered throughout on your previous playthrough are locked again due to story.

I just wanted to take in all the sights and sounds of Los Perdidos after the story, with everything unlocked as I had it, but nope. Still, I think the game has a lot of replay ability and it's just a lot of fun.
