I also got that stupid pistol achievement. I'm not proud of it but I couldn't properly trash this game without at least playing it and I sure as fuck wasn't going to play through it twice.

After watching that Postal 3 quick look, this game looks absolutely amazing.

Did that thing just start off like Black Ops? I was wondering how Half Life would be if they took out the jumping puzzle parts.

Theres a REALLY good and humorous part in this DLC that sadly they didn't to. Basically the whole entire level of Me, Myself, and I is pretty damn humorous, but the beginning to it... Ryan would've loved it.

Well, I can say that Duke Nukem is the only thing Giant bomb and I have not agreed on. I don't understand the hate, really.

Is it just me, or is every Giantbomb video getting more quiet as time goes on, compared to the rest of the content on my computer? The sound track on the videos are looow! Crank it up!

And no, its not just the video player that needs a tune, its on my iPad and iPhone too .. So sad, since I want to hear every single detail!

i like how they missed that explosive for 3 minutes and i saw it in the first half second when they went over there....

This seems like a strange love letter to Duke Nukem 1 and 2. Games that I was a huge fan of.

Yeah, I've been having the same issue with low sound on the site. I can boost the volume of my speakers, but then I hear humming.

It did! And Sam Worthington played the terminator in Salvation. So that was actually kind of brilliant. Wow, I just payed Duke a compliment.

After watching this I continue to not understand why anyone would like Duke Nukem.

It was amusing to watch Ryan and Brad play, even if the game looks absolutely terrible.

@Sharpshooter: Why not get the rest of the achievements? I've always wondered about that. What made that achievement any less pointless than the rest, I mean, you didn't S-Rank it or anything.

I had some fun with Duke4ever, but "no thanks" to the DLC. :)
 
I would bet that we will see platforming elements in Half-Life 3 or whatever it'll be called. Maybe they will implement gels from Portal or whatever, but there will be platforming (even if I could live without it as well). 

Just saying, this doesn't look terrible. Like, this actually looks kind of alright, especially compared to the base game.

Also, the villain seems like exactly what they were after in a Duke game- a character who's smarter, and completely fed up that humanity has to rely on someone like Duke Nukem to save them from aliens, so he's making a bunch of robots and clones and shit to try and replace him out of spite.

Why not play this on PC? The 360 loading times are awful.

Come on guys, the game told you how to shoot, maybe you need to shoot something? Maybe something behind the door? Of course it's pretty terrible design, that explosive was quite hidden.

I think Brad is way off when it comes to the first person platforming thing. I don't doubt that the jumping stuff in DNF was awful, but Valve is really the only dev that has ever pulled off first person platforming in a shooter. Both Half Life 2 and Portal 1 and 2 had good first person jumping segments, and I absolutely expect Half Life 3 to have them as well.

My God, I have never seen a bigger piece of garbage in my life besides Postal III.

For me I think that the ideal place for Duke would be on the 2d side scrolling games but considering how there might be many arcade side scrolling games out there have yet to be revisited (elevator action is the only one that comes to mind but figuring that there's more) it could work out at least better than DNF.

Remember when Duke Nukem was a game about shooting people in large, open-ended levels with multiple routes, approaches or secrets?

Seriously, they take the one selling point gameplay-wise about Duke Nukem and then strip it out in favour of making a linear corridor-crawler full of puzzles that's inexplicably lacking in action. I was kind of willing to give them credit for Duke Nukem Forever as far as it being in development hell for so long, but this DLC just shows that they really had no clue to begin with.

Why would there be? The title is a reference to The Spy Who Loved Me, not Doctor Who.

Anyway, I quite enjoyed the DLC. It was long enough to introduce some new stuff, but short enough to avoid becoming a total bore. Definitely better than the main game, although, as I've said before, I did enjoy the main game.

Edit: Fuck, that FoV is terrible. I'm so used to the PC version with customizable FoV, the 360 one hurts to see.
