It feels like a lot of games are coming out with "Heroes" at the end of them recently. Stop it!

I love it when the crew reaches a point in a game where they just don't give a damn anymore. All bets are off and no criticisms are subdued.

Even as someone who's never played a Fable game anymore, I really wonder what this has in common with Fable at all. Slapping a name on just anything for sales always runs the risk of backfiring on you.

Yep. Fable 2 continues to be one of my favorite 360 games and Fable is my favorite original Xbox game. I really wish that Fable 3 expanded on Fable 2 instead of taking a huge step back. But what are you gonna do?

The second half of Fable 3 is the fucking worst, as is the non-descript main enemy in the game, "the darkness", which inexplicably arrives on a specific date.

I also have a hard time buying that this is your LEAST favourite fantasy series, when you enjoyed every minute of the worst game in the series to date, and intend on buying both this shitty side project, and the slightly less crummy looking Kinect game.

I quite liked Fable 1 and 2, and I won't be touching this dreck with a ten foot pole.

Great QL you guys. Some very funny stuff in here... I felt like the interaction and riffing between all 4 dudes was spot on in a way I haven't heard in a while.

Thank you Jeff, this needs to be said about a lot of "kids games" these days.

I appreciate that you want to give stuff the benefit of the doubt, Brad, but I think we'd all appreciate it more if you give a strong opinion and THEN point out you might not be the target audience/etc.

What is the Rapper/Album they are talking about? Is it E40? I like to keep up with Jeff's questionable taste in music.

Funny stuff, but the game doesn't look as bad as they're making it out to be. That camera would be my biggest problem.

Looks sort of interesting for the way of doing the upgrades/level select but between the freaky puppets with no feet & average looking combat, I think I'll pass. After hearing the stuff in this QL, Brad should play Fable2 as it is quite good & better than Fable3.

This doesn't look as bad as they are saying. I thought this was a kinect game to make fun of! aw bummer city. :(

Best QL for a while, love it.

I would bet that this game was about 75% complete before they decided to make it a Fable game.

The first franchise next gen to get a terrible gritty reboot is going to be Fable.  I feel it.

Looks about as fun as the Lego games.

Lionhead is not a very good studio. Fable 1 was one of my favorite console games when I was younger and fable 2 was ok it had its ups and downs. Never played fable 3 and probably never will. Actually, you know what? I'll probably never play another fable game ever again.

Notice how the skybox moves with the camera when they fight the beetle queen.

Now you will always notice it.

This game looks fucking horrible. What was the design document for this thing? "Up to four players run around linear corridors mashing the X button while they watch numbers go up. Collecting more numbers allows players to unlock cosmetic items with no gameplay value." What a goddamn waste.

And no, I don't buy for a second that "this is a kids' game, it's supposed to be simple!" You can make games for kids that aren't intellectually bankrupt button-mashers with zero engaging mechanics whatsoever. I mean, really. Brawlers only have one hook - they are hard as nails. Get rid of that and what do you have? "Press X 500,000 times to win." You'd have more fun picking your nose.

This game looks terrible. I found it amusing at the end when Jeff mentions letting your kids play old school beat em ups. I sometimes play 2 player Streets of Rage 2 on my Xbox with my 4 year old niece and she loves it. We play on very easy of course but she is able to learn valuable life concepts such as what bad men look like and it features a strong female protagonist for her to look up to. We also play the X-men arcade game which doesn't teach her anything useful other than what the X-men look like.

This looks decent, I guess. Some old-fashioned mindless, ridiculous fun.

@sear: Not saying I disagree, but I'm kinda tired of "linear" being a dirty word in games. Many, if not most, of the best games ever made are extremely linear. Linear isn't intrinsically worse or less fun.

I'll buy this game, for my 7 yo son.

Chesty's mission is the best mission in Fable 2. I enjoyed it more than the entire story of Fable 2.

Your right not trying to dis anyone's taste but this does look like it suit kids a little more.

The music and blabber-talking sounds remind me of Banjo Kazooie.

This looks like fun for 5-10 minutes, followed by it becoming mindnumbingly boring. The only interesting mechanic is how you get upgrades. But that's about it.

Also let your kids play better games. There are years and years of older, way more fun things then this. When I was a kid I wouldn't willingly play crap games either so I doubt the newer gens feel any different.

At least now we know the real reason Molyneux left.
