Quick Look: Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta

Last expansion, huh? I'm actually really looking forward to New Vegas. I like what Bethesda did, but it's going to be interesting to see what some of the Fallout 2 team will do now that they have the chance....

Vinny is deadly because he wants Ryan to kill everyone in these Quick Looks. Mothership Zeta looks pretty sweet, but wasn't there some drill type weapon ish thing? Three new weapons seems a little short compared to the trailers and stuff I've seen. 
 
Man, if only I had space on my Hard Drive. Time to upgrade.

I just started playing Fallout 3 again today and I can't wait to get the new DLC!

Sad that it's the last, but happy that it ushers in something fresh with New Vegas.  Great job Bethesda!  Can't wait to see the next concept evolution!

When he states he could not be nicer. His messiah is only good, Mine states very good over the character in the PIP screen.

A lot of peolple complain about the combat in this game, but from the start I built a character designed for fighting, so I have no problem with it. Also I started a new game when I  got  the  OP ANCHRG 
so from about level 2 /3 I have had the awesome never damaging T 51b armour, with the pwr armr perk, The stealth suit, and the totally awesome GAUSS  rifle. 
I only really enjoy playinfg this game as a FPS with RPG elements, and not as a a RPG with guns.

Unlike Ryan I do hope it's the last. 5 DLC is too much already. I rather spend the money on a new game like Fallout 4 or something. Much of the DLC is stuff you could get for free via mods in other games, well some of it is actually new props and stuff.
 
Considering all the DLC is 50 bucks it's almost the price of a new game and if they had put together that DLC and called it Fallout 4 or 3½ or whatever and released it as a stand alone game for 50 bucks I bet people would have complained that it was just more of the same (like how sequels used to be, like Super Mario Lost Levels and such) however because it's DLC it's suddenly okey for people that it's just more of the same. That's how I feel anyway.

awesome QL. I havnt played any of the downloadable content yet but this one looks pretty damn awesome.

did Ryan accidentally put "tgm" in console? because rads seem to have nooooo effect

This was the 360 version of the game.  I don't think he was capable of doing that.

I'm not entirely sure if the aliens are meant to show up all distorted like that. My Operation Anchorage guy in the DLC had no head at one point.

I played through the game and beat it and was surprised at how long the content was.  This was my second favorite of the DLC excluding Broken Steel.  The graphics of alien ship were cool and the weapons were cool but I only used 2 of the 4 I found.
I was disappointed though with there only being 3 real types of aliens.  The ones in suits, the ship workers and the abominations.  I was also confused with what to do with the crystals and some of the other junk I found.  It was cool to have gotten more of the alien ammo for the original alien weapon.  
I ended up missing some of the audio tapes so I don't know what the perk is though.
I hope maybe Bethesda decides to come up with some additional content for Fallout but the official word is that they won't.   I have put in almost 250 hours and I'd keep playing it as long as they keep putting out DLC.
Can't wait to see what Bethesda does next.

Haha, the first animal killed is called 'Yao Guai'. This is chinese pronunciation for a word mean 'monster' in chinese.

Been waiting for a while to grab a few of these packs for the PS3, mainly Broken Steel, The Pitt and Lookout. But now I don't know ... Bethesda's waited too long and I think I'm done with Fallout 3 now. 
I'm glad GB bid all the QLs 'cause at least I don't feel like I've missed everything. But I can't see myself picking it up again after such neglect, especially once Borderlands drops and I'll be driving along a NEW wasteland with my girlfriend on the turret and my bloodwing on m'shoulder.

Fuck it, Im waiting for my PS3 GOTY, Fallout 3 has incredible value, there's TON of content, which equals hundreds of hours of gameplay.

Sorry but this looks so fucking dull and I don't get the impression the dialog saves it. You know you guys give DLC packs way too much slack just because they're add ons to a great game.

I like the setting and all, but the interaction among characters look stiff.

New weapons look great, I'm sold like every other Fallout 3 DLC.

Actually Ryan, you could be nicer. You could be "Very Good". Just throwing that out there ;)

In that first conversation with Somah, your can mention that you have a Mysterious friend that might come and help.

I might buy Fallout 3 GOTY just for this and Anchorage.

If you ever play Fallout 3 again... it is my impression that the 3beam laser works as a sort of laser shotgun, instead of rifle.  So using it at long range seems to reduce its effective damage... like a regular shotgun.  That's why you couldn't ice that alien at the end of the corridor.
