Quick Look: Lost In Shadow

Interesting concept and the gameplay seems to be pretty neat, too.

I feel like sound designers for games all pull from the same sound library and take the first file that comes up when they search for "wind." Really, guys? You couldn't go a bit further down the list?

The colour palette and atmosphere is definitely Team Ico-ish.

Man, Alex has done more Quick Looks than Drew at this point

I got the Fitzcarraldo reference. Believe me I've seen my fair share of Klaus Kinski Movies!

It could use a little more variation in the environment. I am sure other levels have a different look, but it looks a bit too samey within the level, making it potentially really confusing in a "Am I walking in circles?" way.
 
Definately not as intrigued by this as Ryan and Alex seem to be.

Again I ask, why the fuck is Alex in all these quicklooks. I dont mind when they bring people outside of the GB team for specific occasions, but like others have said, how many quicklooks has drew been in?

Also, when they got out of the shadow corridor, the orbs getting absorbed totally made the Zelda puzzle tune. Game looks neat!

I like Alex getting involved with quick looks and reviews. It makes sense to have the extra help in the holiday season, but once that raps up i think one of the giant bombs guys should do a movie review or two to balence things out

There is definitely a Team Ico feel to this game leaning more towards Ico then SotC. The looks as well as this solitary atmosphere, looks like a good puzzle platformer.

You do know Alex's relation to the GB guys right?  That is being coworkers at gamespot for a long ass time?  Dude probably wanted to do some more game reviewing and GB was more than happy to let him.  Also Drew has been in quite a bunch actually, particularly a lot of the racing game ones. "

Why can't people just take these videos for their own worth? Just be fucking glad you are getting content. There is no damn reason to complain "oh, why isn't so-and-so in this video?" everybody has their own priorities right now. Don't fucking forget we're in Q4, which means GAMES are damn coming out and needs to be played and reviewed, while for Vinny and Drew's case, there are videos to be shot and cut.
 
There is nothing wrong having other people sit in for videos, frankly it's nice.

I'm liking these Alex and Ryan quicklooks, personally. It's cool for Alex to sit in because he knows his shit for the most part and obviously has a long history with the GB crew. Plus I tended to agree to a lot of his reviews back in the GS days.
 
This game looks OK. Reminded me of Limbo in some ways.

Theory: Screened is tanking, and they are going to absorb the guys into the Bomb. That's why we have so much Alex lately.

I'm not understanding the Alex hate.

A Wii game that looks interesting, incredible, I guess it can't rain all the time.

So what was the film Alex and Ryan were talking about?

Braid, Limbo, and now this. I'm digging the trend of quality puzzle platformers. 

This would be great for the 3DS nice sense of layers.

By January, I will not care about this game at all.

I don't see how what you did couldn't have been done in the real world. Everything that had a shadow existed in the same position and orientation. 

Looks cool enough, but not sure if it'll merit a $60 price tag.
