yeah 09/10 is weird?

09/10 would make sense if the Championship was bisected by the new year, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

I remember I played whatever MotoGP demo that was on the 360 in its early days. The only fun I had was going backwards and crashing into the other players. I got cussed out in Italian and French a lot.

I want hear more of Drew's Scottish accent.  
The atmospheric effects look cool. If they release a Chopper DLC I might get it.

I understand spelling color with a 'u' but 'tyres' just looks wrong.

I'm no racing game expert, but I noticed Drew stopped overcompensating the turns when he switched to first person.

Why can't enyone other then Forza get the race line right? That race line seemed to be pretty horrible. In Forza it turnes from green to red but in this theres just a hard point where if you didn't break your fucked for the rest of the corner.
Whit the race line in forza it encurages you to push beyond the optimal speeds of the corner to the maximum speed of a corner. In MotoGP it just has the maximum speed of the corner programed in to the race line and that means that instead of trying to push your bike to the limit like you can whit the Forza race line, you try not to push it over the limit whit the MotoGP race line if you get what I'm saying.

Being a huge fan of the Formula 1 games etc. I've always struggled with all Motorbike racing games, they just seem impossible compared to it.
 
And I'm the sort of player who does full races in Formula 1 games with all assists off etc.

the race UI is just awful..I vote that the Turn10 guys make the UI's for all racing games from now on.

Game seems difficult.  Maybe it was because of the rain in that track.
 
Also a Drew a Day keeps the Doctor Away.

Drew Look!

I have a Honda CBR600rr with ABS as my only transportation. Yes, I am that badass chick with a motorcycle.  Racing with two wheels is different than driving with a car. There is shifting, there is clutch control, there are front and rear brakes, there is leaning, there is counterleaning. I want to know how well it handles those simulation elements, but no reviewer so far is familiar enough with motorcycles to tell me.

From my limited experience with the demos of previous MotoGP games Drew's performance in that first race seemed actually pretty good, considering the weather conditions and difficulty setting! 
On first glance this looks pretty much like more of the same and the gameplay never interested me beyond free demos... but definitely nice to see a QL.

God these games are terrible. Why do they even exist anymore. I would rather have someone swing a live feral dog into my genitals while bathing in sulfuric acid while listening to Lady Gaga then play another MotoGP game. Congrats to Ryan & Drew for their indomitable patience.

It's called 09/10 because it currently includes the 2009 bikes and tracks and they'll soon update it with the 2010 bikes and tracks. Kind of like the thing people want with sports franchises, DLC roster updates rather than a brand new game.
 
Also you guys didn't show of the rewind time feature... Yeah I hate to be that guy.

This looks like a piece of crap, MotoGP 08 wasn't great but it's obvious from this video and from playing the demo that this is a massive step down. The RPM counter in the corner says x1000 but there are no numbers on it, it's stupid stuff like that that really put me off.  It frustrates me because Capcom sacked the undisputed champion of motorcycle games, Milestone, after MotoGP 08 wasn't as popular as they would have liked, and know it's come back bit them in the ass with this. 
 
If anybody is looking for a motorbike racer get MotoGP 06/07/08 or SBK09, although that one isn't available in the US, SBK-X might be, and that will be massively better than this. 

I've never got the hang of motorcycle racing sims...

Twin Ring Motegi in Spain?!  Isn't it in Japan?

I wouldn't mind a sequel to Tourist Trophy...
