Complaining that the game has story is the most pathetic bullshit critique of a game I have ever heard. I guess it wasn't being ironic enough for Alex, who hasn't been able to like anything in a non-ironic way for many many years it seems.

The game looks fine I think, I might get it at some point.

EDIT: Also Alex should go to a speech coach or someone that can teach him to stop saying "so there's that" and "so that's a thing" or "that happened" over and over and over again.

Hate to be a hater, but Alex is not really the man for this task. Lacking in enthusiasm and seemingly to cynical to properly showcase this game. Serious Sam is ridiculous. The player of such games should be as equally ridiculous.

On one hand, more Alex quick looks are a good thing. On the other hand, Serious Sam has never appealed to me in any way

For as much as he complains about how the game doesn't get right into the monster shooting, he sure does take his dear sweet time actually getting out of the intro area

The only way to play the Serious Sam games is 2-4 people on SERIOUS difficulty. The only way to play the game.

There's plenty of humor. The story is not "serious". You've always had to reload your pistol in Serious Sam.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that he was mostly joking about it. You know, as is done at WM. I'd be incredulous too if I came into this game blind and saw Middle East warzones and sledgehammers and Duke-esque hooker jokes.

@Gliz9: Well he did review games for years before, and I'd assume he continues to play games. Since he's reviewing movies, it's not like his review skills have went away.

My god Alex is terrible at this game.

Every review I've read about the game said that there is almost no humor in it and that the story is trying way to hard to be serious.

I was wrong about the pistol, actually the pistol was the only weapon you've ever had to reload in a SS game, so joke on me I guess. Sorry.

But I just don't feel this game and the more I read about it, and the more I see about it I feel less and less convinced that I should buy it

I just know that so many people will criticise alex for how bad he seemingly is at the game, and get all angry that hes not representing the game well, but I would argue that infact he is representing the game pretty well, that game look toughh as, you have a few shots in the pistol before you have to RELOAD (honestly, reloading in serious sam shouldnt be allowed) and completely expose yourself, alex shouldnt get so caught up about thinking hes bad at the game, he showed it off pretty well tbh, well enough to show me I do not want to buy that game. Job done. Nice one alex :)

Just me or is Alex insanely twitchy with the mouse? almost hurts to watch =/

I bought the game and i think its pretty good so far, i'm about 5 levels in and the game has really picked up the pace with enemies and weapon types, pretty happy with my purchase.

If you liked the previous Serious Sam games then theres no reason not to try this game, there are much better quick looks / lets plays on youtube :)

Alex Navarro clearly isnt very good at this style of game, even worse than i am and thats saying something :)

...Alex is really bad in this quicklook, and him calling Undercode's made-for-serious sam music "bad dethklok" is...There are no words...

I do love the fact that Croteam got Undercode back though. Can't wait for the immense boss music.

Edit: He just called the music itself terrible. That's it, Alex's opinion about serious sam games are no longer valid for public use.

This doesn't seem great which is a shame considering how good the first one was.

Also, Alex you might improve your PC fps play by adjusting your mouse sensitivity. It's way too high for you if you keep moving the cursor past targets you are trying to hit or rather use side steps to aim.

Serious Sam has had reloading weapons since the first game, you know.

Kudos for not charging me a monthly fee to see HD videos hosted on youtube! I like the look of this game, this is probably how DNF SHOULD have been. I hope that Vsync actually works in the final product, though. I didn't buy a PC to see shit chop like it's some shitty 360 game.

@Gliz9: Alex worked at Gamespot alongwith Jeff, Ryan, Brad & Vinny for a number of years. He is more than qualified when it comes to video games.
