Been looking forward to this QL. Smite is the only MOBA I ever got into.

Nice, was wondering if they would quicklook this. Really need to try this on XOne someday.

Ah, it's finally come out of Early Access.

I wish the Smite commercial was a little shorter so I can get back to watching the Pax panel.

Huh. This is a surprise Quick Look.

Seems somewhat more streamlined on Xbone than it was when I tried it on PC - superficial as it is the awful look of the client and in game stuff really put me off playing it.

Edit: Yeahhhh after watching it still looks pretty awful in game. Comes across like a wonky mod - I don't think this style of games lends itself to a first person perspective.

I've heard some good things about this, but I'll be damned if I ever play anything by Hi-Rez again. The way they just stop supporting previous games because the higher-ups have gotten bored with what they're doing is the worst.

I wasn't expecting this QL. I enjoyed playing Smite back when it first came out on PC but I couldn't drum up enough interest from my friends to get a team together so I kinda lost interest. I think it's pretty cool though, and HiRez have been supporting it pretty hard to push it as a viewer-friendly competitive game. I want more skillshots in my MOBAs so this fits into that category nicely, and I do like the mechanics that are added as a result of the perspective shift (such as sneaking in behind people, for example).

I've put about 40 hours into the xbone version in the past week. of all the MOBAs i've tried this one hooked me for some reason. i finally understand how people can get addicted to this shit

I wouldn't be against them revisiting some old Cavedog/Gas Powered Games stuff like TA, SupCom:FA and Demigod. Although they don't seem to have a setup for multiplayer PC stuff.

Also, now that everyone at Giantbomb is a MOBA expert, they can do a Us vs. Them MOBA medley series with all the different MOBAs out there.

Is this a beta? For some reason the game looks really unpolished or old graphics wise

xbone version just went into open beta last week.

Man old fashioned MOBAs go long. That's one of the many reasons I play Heroes of the Storm. Games take 20 minutes on average.

Smite reminds me a lot of stuff like Counter Strike, Path of Exile, Eve Online, Starcraft 2 or the ones that adore Monster Hunter. It's like "I can understand and get why you're a popular game and you're well made and polished but I really don't like playing you".

Awesomenauts is/was great.

Smite is fun, I like the 3v3 single lane and arena modes the most but it's a great hope in play a few hope out type game

I love everything about Smite except for how, like Brad pointed out, it's gaemplay design tends to lean more towards LoL than anything else. I tolerate that aspect.

I've still played and enjoyed Smite for many hours (and will continue to do so), but at the end of the day, it kinda also just serves as a reminder of how fucking phenomenal some of DotA's design decisions are...at least for me anyway.

Watches teammates all on low health run past yelling retreat. Runs in and immediately dies. Blames teammates. Yeah, it's a MOBA.

A Smite QL? Yet we still haven't gotten a Heroes of the Storm QL.

I tried this out when it was in Beta on the One. I thought it was fun, but I'm not sure how much time I'm willing to spend on this game. Still felt fun.

Wow that match went on forever. Also Brad's 1200 hours don't seem to have helped him understand the basic concepts much.

Kinda meh, but it has Sun Wukong who other MOBAs don't have so it can't be considered bad.

Oi. Steven Universe and Rick and Morty are great cartoons.

SU may be a little bit too twee for some people, but Rick and Morty is pretty much for anyone! It has loads of surreal humor and quasi existentialism spouted by a half-drunken, Doc-Brown-looking crazy person. It's great!

I've literally never played this game, but Brad's play is infuriating to watch. He hangs back farming when his teammates go in and goes in 2v1 when his teammates are low.

This game looks damn boring

Should have shown of Arena. That's where the fun lives.

The standard maps are boring as fuck. This game is at its best when it's just a 5 on 5 fucking shitfest going down, and that is 24/7 in Arena.

My friends and I play the PC version a whole lot and it's a really fun game. The Godbuilder they have is really fantastic and lets you pre-plan your item lay-out that you can just buy when the game starts. It's really smart design. Also did away with that last hit for gold shit. It's just one of those games that flew under my radar for a while until I tried it then I was hooked.

How can the whole team not be rabid fans of Rick and Morty?! Especially Jeff! It's tailored made for him.

This looks enjoyabble and a very good fit for consoles, but fuck man the general art direction is awful, boring and all over the place.

The slow pacing and the lack of music does make it seem pretty dull.

I got into League for a hot minute, but I don't really have a good set-up to play PC games, hoping this comes to PS4 at some point, I think I'd really get into it.

I play this game a lot and I never even do the conquest gamemode. I do siege, joust, and sometimes arena. I think it's plenty of fun without doing conquest mode.

This is a great game, Brads teamwork baffles me that Serqet was killing it and he wasnt supporting her at all.

Also Arena, Joust [3v3], and siege are the most fun modes.
