You know, I just don't think Sonic and 3D work. The constant screwing up while you're running and only feeling like a 'sonic game' when it takes control from you while you're running loops or bouncing from some sort of spring to another. I just never had fun unless it was a 2D Sonic.

EDIT: And it wasn't that much fun anyway.
EDIT 2: I know this isn't a rare opinion.

I think this looks really good graphically and artistically but the gameplay looks so clunky. It almost looks like Nintendo responsible presentation and Sega was responsible for the gameplay.

looks pretty good to me. seems like you need to keep a rhythm to get going pretty good.

That jungle-ish level actually seems all right. Everything else about this game looks pretty depressing, which I can't say I'm surprised by.

Sonic 2006 could be an interesting Breaking Brad series...

Hilarious how the two of them are still oblivious to the fact that none of the good sonic games have been about just running at top speed through everything, ESP the genesis games. That shit got you killed. Brad kept the run button held down the entire time and complained that it wasn't controlling well, no friggin shit, that's why it's a button so you can press or release it. Ah well, still looks quite good, I'm down with trying this out, tho I'm still hoping it sees a PC release at some point.

@blipp18: It only had the time limit during the 2 player race mode.

I was just sort of apathetic towards this until the dessert land level. This game should be all dessert land.

Sonic Generations was really good

Seems like most of the recent Sonic games. Totally fine.

After the first wii-u notification popped up, I had a realization this was a sonic game exclusive to a nintendo console. I know this isn't a new thing, but my inner 90's kid inside had a small freak out.

Game looks good, surprisingly!

The music in this game is FANTASTIC. I never liked sonic and I was even interested in playing it for the music alone. That kind of music is what gaming needs to have again. Something with an actual MELODY that is memorable for more than 3 seconds after you turn off the console.

Way to go Sega!

The game... looks alright. I think Brad looked to be terrible at it and was mostly complaining because he wasn't good at it. But needing a game to make you look good at it in order to like it isn't a prerequisite for me like it is for Brad.

I don't like the "Mark and Execute." This ain't Splinter Cell.

Sonic going splat against the beehives was really funny. And regardless of the quality of Sonic games, I've always liked their soundtracks. The music here sounded pretty good too.

I have no interest in this, and I really haven't enjoyed any of the recent Sonic games...

But man, watching Brad play this is so painful. He is so incredibly bad.

I would say they do? The gameplay in this video really doesn't look so hot. It certainly doesn't look as good or fast as Generations.

Got to admit, the music is pretty great.

Considering both he and Jeff pretty much fell on the side of "it seems alright," you both seems to have come to the same conclusion regardless of being good at it.

All he does is spindash and bypass everything. When the game isn't playing itself he's just spinning past everything anyways. Sure you're going fast, but what are you actually doing?
