@I_smell: I don't love the show anymore, but that episode was pretty amazing when it came out. Getting a kid to eat there parents? The way they got to that point was quite clever too. Really smart use of planting ideas (Radiohead, Pony etc.) and slowly building to the revelation. It's right up there with their best work (the film and Book of Mormon). It wasn't just that it was shocking for TV, it was seeing that character specifically do it. And as a fan of Shakespeare's play Titus is was a great homage to that.

I don't know what Patrick is talking about, I watched BASEketball like two months ago and it is trash. No way does that movie hold up. Nostalgia goggles maybe Patrick?

Cannibal is awesome but like Patrick said with context. Orgazmo isn't as good but still has really funny moments. Baseketball is still a fine film, and you're insane with you don't like South Park, don't say it's because it's not funny, it's because you don't know good writing.

I think South Park is still funny. There. I said it.

That being said this game looks boring.

Calling BASEketball a great movie is... well it's not. Enjoyable, sure. But great? C'mon P-Trick!

Is it really that hard to both read a small bit of text and talk at the same time? Apparently for Brad, it is.

This is disappointing, I was worried at first because I'd heard interesting things, but then I realised there's another South Park game coming later in the year which sounds much more interesting.

I love South Park (and Vinny, the entire series is available for free viewing anytime on southparkstudios.com), but this game looks terrible.

It's been well documented that nostalgia has a massive influence over Patrick's opinions.

He's nervous and as a result he makes mistakes. Come on people, we're talking about Brad. You should have know this by now.

@lclay: That is the Obsidian game which is still in the works. But god knows what happened to it after all the layoffs.

Oof, it looks like an average Xbox Live Indie Game. Actually, for anyone who ever used a "Klik" product (like Klik and Play), there was a phase when everyone made South Park games using the built in platform engine, it looks like that even.

This game looks boring, hope the obsidian game is better

the presentation looks good, and the art style looks exactly like the show... but hell, it just doesn't look like any fun to play, and it also looks pretty shoddily put together.

Brad should have read that but still, the fact that games do that still is BEYOND STUPID. No excuse for it, not reason for it. Bad design.

God, I hope so. I've lost track of the games Brad says he can't wait to play and finds so fascinating, in a Quick Look, and then never touches.

You can see the current QL setup in some of the behind the scenes it's a tiny room.

I also want to throw out there that I actually found South Park 64 fun for what it was. A simple FPS sure, but I found its silliness refreshing and it was just some dumb fun.
