Seriously. I remember the Tech from Spiderman 2: The Game. They were bragging about how the webs stuck to buildings when you swung through the city. Now we're back to Spiderman 1: The Game, where the web sticks to the clouds!

@mozzle: reason for this is after play tests, where when fighting giant bosses in the open, trying to swing with web attached to walls made for some frustrating swinging.

Darn, they cut out the 5~ minute conversation that occurred before the start during the live showing. It was a cool little glimpse at the under-workings of Giantbomb; plus some talk of Spiderman's crotch and basketball head.

The game looks.. okay. For an Activision licensed title you could certainly do a whole lot worse. I do wish these titles got the time they needed to be fully fleshed out though. There's no reason we can't have multi-million blockbuster titles that happen to be licensed.

Man...this game doesn't look too fun to play. Maybe I'll figure out how to set up Ultimate Spider-man on my computer instead

Actually seems like a pretty decent Arkham clone. Wish they would've been able to show if there's more to the open world. It seems to be missing the riddler trophy element (not just a bunch of collectibles, but actual challenges and riddles), which really made Arkham City.

Spider-Man game, so what do they use as objective markers...Captain America's shield, TOTALLY makes sense.

The locomotion looks pretty cool. I like the camera angles during the fighting, too. Seems solid enough. Redbox has this as a rental, and this looks perfect for that.

Yeah, because Batman was the first game that had you fight shielded enemies you need to GET BEHIND TO ATTACK. Jesus. Batman didn't invent every fucking trope in character action games.

This game looks so god damn awesome, which is good because I was just starting to give up on games and it is so great to hear that this game is actually good.

Man, I really don't like his swinging in this game. It's like the Animated series where he just shoot into the air and swings on nothing.

The best Spiderman game so far was 2, because you could go into the options and change it so you could have each trigger shoot web out of each hand. When you did that you could pull off all kinds of insane swinging tricks that made even just the traversal AMAZINGly fun.

The animations and Spider-Man character model look great.

There is something incredibly awesome about seeing Spider-Man do a german suplex

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the cloud swinging, although if I want to swing I think I've still got Web of Shadows somewhere around here.

@GuardianKnux: Yup. I cannot play this purely because of that. Whatever else this game does is ruined by the lack of an actual swinging mechanic. As it is, its just hold right trigger to fly.

Yeah thats what I though... its the same company, can't they share there tech... even there old tech. Oh well. The iPhone/Android game looks kind of cool... and allot like spider-man 2 (the movie game).

Drew is a video god. Just the lead up to this with the Wayne's World countdown to video start was greatness, kind of wish it was included, but luckily I got to see it live.

This is maybe the stupidest thing to find impressive, but I certainly found myself impressed by that oscillating fan in the first room of the video. Pretty nice attention to detail there.

This doesn't look terrible, but I just can't find myself able to give a fuck about Spiderman or a Spiderman game.

I really like the movement, the game kinda reminds me of Prototype
